Blacks only make up 13% of the population. I’d bet it would be much higher if not for abortion. It’s widely known abortion clinics set up shop in poor black neighborhoods and give a ton of abortions. Hispanics are largely having the kids they conceive. They are outpacing everyone.

Im definitely not pointing fingers. There are very real reasons why whites arent having as many children that arent their fault(im a childless white guy so I share a lot of blame)

False. Gonzales was always pretty black in the city. What changed was a large number of Katrina evacuees and hispanics who migrated for construction work located there in and after 2005. So, now it’s blacker and more hispanic. Gonzales always had a large black population, though.

I used to live in Prairieville around 2008-9, and it seemed pretty white. My guess is a lot of the white folks live just outside city limits. Ruston is 51% white, 40% black, but if the city boundaries moved 1 mile north we would be close to 60% white.
