I used to love reading that guy’s rants. He was a true legend of this forum.

Time to go dig up some old rants.

ETA: Went through his post history and there were no rants.

That dude was a firehouse of high-energy outrage.

He came off like a drunk uncle at a wedding, but he ended up being right about some important issues.

I may be misremembering, but seems like he had some PNAC/Neocon leanings that I didn't care for. But man he raised some hell on here.

Not the most important issue. He was dead arse wrong on Jordan Jefferson being the best qb LSU ever produced.

A repost of a sample of his posts would be very interesting after the passage of time are compared to his warnings. I enjoyed his input.

I forgot about the all caps MOONBAT thing. I think he even had an avatar that was an image of a bat with 'CERTIFIED MOONBAT BUSTER' across the bottom.

Lots of !!! too. Funny guy.

Met him at a PT get together one time back in the old days. Biggest guy you ever saw and not a tooth in his head. I didn’t get it, but the nickname seemed to stick.

At times he definitely typed like he was completely unhinged. He was a delight to troll because of the reactions you knew you’d get

But people who met him said he was way more measured in person

If there’s a PT Rushmore, his nordic arse should be on it

True. His responses were always so over the top, it was tempting to poke the bear for a chuckle.

I was in the Ron Paul camp in 08, and Toothpick was completely incensed with any mention of "blow back" or de-escalation in the ME.

He would insult you with questions like:

"Do you know how insanely asinine you have to be to even think of this?" Do you know how much of a MOONBAT you are to not be THROWING UP while you typed that idiotic comment?"

Good stuff.

I dinnit know we had established an acceptable level of racisism.

Is that in the user guide somewhere?

I'd have to read his stuff in today's context. Back in his day, everything was racist but we all believed it and tried to avoid it.

I wonder if he'd sound way less unhinged or racist compared to the dialogue online these days.

I’d love to see some of his old rants and prophecy’s bc I believe he’d be vindicated on some topics. Doesn’t change his style which is why he’s no longer here.
