The American revolution would have never happened without the fighting spirit of Southern men.
That same spirit allowed the men of the South to stave off a vastly superior foe in terms of population, industrial might, and financial capability for nearly 5 years in the Civil War. They had no business sustaining that fight for that long. Only by audacious cunning and guile were they able.
Since the Civil War, the U.S.A. has harnessed and absolutely counted on the fighting spirit of Southern men in WWI and WWII to win.
Without Southern men the U.S.A. has a diminished fighting edge and weaker esprit de corps. You Yankee bastards should be wary of crapping on Southern men.

Do people of the south more closely identify with people like George Washington and other founding fathers that wrote the constitution? The answer is yes.
Southern culture is not about the confederacy. That is a mythology put out by liberal democrats.
