That was rage. The stupid part though was goading him and then losing him though. Right now the admin is spinning Epstein and they might put that fire out. Losing Elon though will be the gift that continues to give.

Because he is in the files. Even if he didn't commit any crimes, he is a former friend of Epstein's and would certainly at least be mentioned as someone who frequented parties that Epstein supplied girls for.

The Biden Administration may have added more participants to the list or exaggerated their involvement.
The party of suppressed laptops and fake Russian dossiers are capable of anything.
Contaminating some aspects of the files can damage the obvious criminal behavior that is fully documented.

When are people going to understand that a name being “in the Epstein file”
doesn’t mean that person was involved in any criminal activity.
A person’s name could come up in various contexts, social or business…
That doesn’t meant they took part in or were aware of sex abuse against minors.

There are likely plenty of people "in" the Epstein files. Trump's name might be in there because he famously threw him out of one of his casinos because he knew of his reputation.

The thread asks “why did Elon say Trump was in the Epstein files“. That’s where it starts. Because the BBB is an entirely separate issue, which only shows how petty Elon is by bringing up the files if he is responding to what Trump said about something else entirely.

Again, he responded just like Trump likes to respond. It doesn't have to be related to anything at all. Trump likes to throw bombs and so does Elon.

I think Elon asked Trump about it and Trump confided in him. How much who knows? But you have to think Elon would at least ask even if in a round about way. And I could see Trump speaking to him as he would a friend (at the time). Not saying it points to guilt but that would be Trump’s fault for trusting him. And Trump certainly didn’t deny it.

That’s the point. Trump did not deny it.
I think that it’s possible the Biden admin laid a trap on the way out based on the statements of Trump, Kash, Dan, etc.
It’s possible there are curated documents associated with the totality of the file.
They know they are there and if Trump releases without those curated components, it will be leaked that he removed himself.
If he releases everything and is in there, then he’ll be roasted.
Or, he takes this approach of not releasing anything and pretending nothing is there.
Politically, Trump loses either way unless they have evidence to prove the files were tampered with in his inclusion.
If that’s what’s going on, it politically evil and genius at the same time.

he is smart enough to know that Trump connections are certainly part of a broad and sweeping investigation, so certainly Trump's name appears somewhere in the full FBI files on Epstein (as does many others). he's also smart enough to know the assumptions that would be made about that comment.

Timeline:
Late 80s Trump admits he met Epstein.
1992 - video of Trump showing the Miss USA teens to Epstein
1992-97 - Trump in flight logs
2002 - The NYM article on JE where Trump calls him "terrific guy - likes young women"
2004 - Trump and JE had falling out over Maison de L’Amitié bidding war
2005 - Florida started investigating JE on sex trafficking
2007 - Epstein Mar A Lago account closed. JE supposedly kicked out for hitting on another member's teen daughter.

It would be highly unlikely that Trump is NOT in the file. Now - to the question of did he do anything wrong?
Keep in mind - JE and GM were professionals running a honeytrap. They had cameras and recording equipment everywhere. In the 20 years they knew each other - is it possible they recorded Trump doing or saying something he wouldn't want public.
Think about how he talks on the Access Hollywood bus vs off the bus.
Is it possible they presented him with women he flirted with or even had sex with (think Stormy Daniels)? If it happened - JE and GM's end game was to record it. Over 20 years - how many recordings did they have?
I don't know the answer to that - but it is odd that the file disappeared after Elon tweeted this. And how that changed to - it is full of lies from the Obama era.
What are the lies? Or is it just recordings of Trump he doesn't want out.
