Lot of GOP voters stayed home because they believed the election was in the bag. Democrats were fired up over abortion and turned out more than was expected.

Bingo. The pandering to the far right Evangelicals' stance needs to come to an end, but it won't and they'll get killed again from any type of real Red Wave (both houses). Just adopt the Mississippi view or simply "when the fetus feels pain" and be fvcking done with it...but they won't because muh bible thumper base.

The GOPe fought hard to lose their position in the uni-party as the political bottom.

Because our nations youth are being influenced by people like this... With money and bias telling people with no money how to vote... I am not sure "Love will do the trick" comes before or after Madonna blows up the White House. (If you get it)

A) Believing that makes you a Marxist, as Marxism is defined by Conflict Theory: the idea that human history is defined by the rich brutally maintaining their power over the poor.

B) You all have been sucking hyper rich-corporate dick for ages, letting them convince you to consistently vote against your own interests. Why were so many of yalls grandparents staunch racists? Because the rich promoted racism to split up the working class, which united could challenge the rich's power. Why do you all refuse to accept climate change? Because Shell, ExxonMobil and the entire oil industry dumps crazy money into phoney studies and propaganda to maintain their bottom line, at the expense of the poor who will ultimately suffer the most.
You act like you're the working class but hate pro-labor policies. Because the wealthy have convinced you to ignore the reality that poor workers literally died for the working conditions we have today, both from terrible working conditions and from corporations hiring armies (sometimes even State military forces) to kill workers who dared to ask for a fair situation.

No one really watches Colbert
No one gives a shite about Madonna for the last 20 years

No one cares what LeBron has to say

Bad candidates. Oz was a carpetbagger. Mastriano was batshit crazy.

Kari Lake was full of shite and the people of Arizona knew it. Blake Masters ran against an incumbent that kept his mouth shut, although Masters became a good candidate.

Laxalt got outunioned in Vegas by SEIC

Balduc in NH was a lost cause and then told off McConnell so McConnell decided not to waste the money

In GA Herschel Walker was a bad candidate with too much baggage. You know its bad when your own kid turns on you.

Contrast this with JD Vance who was not crazy beat a very good politician in Ryan in Ohio handily.

Aside from Laxalt who got hosed, the rest were beaten because they deserved to get beaten. In PA if the Republicans had run McCormick they would have won.

Many a “Trump backed” candidate sure did win though. Many more successes than losses. I think what it really brought to light was the unfortunate nature of Georgia and Pennsylvania voters. The voters there will redeem themselves next time though I bet.

Terrible Trumpy candidates in Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, Washington, Georgia as well as the Trump acolyte Bo Hines in NC. I'm sure there are others as well, but that's all I can think of now

Here we go again. Losers playing the victim card, the "fraud card."

Why not discard the Trump card and think about winning again?

McConnell sabotaged Trump backed candidates by withholding money and Republicans didn’t show up to vote. Polls were correct but Dems came out and Republicans didn’t.

Not in swing races. In swing races he hand-picked horrific candidates who pretty much all lost.

Lake (AZ)
Masters (AZ)
Finchem (AZ)
Hamadeh (AZ)
Marchant (NV)
Michels (WI)
Bolduc (NH)
Leavitt (NH)
Walker (GA)
Mastriano (PA)
Oz (PA)
Dixon (MI)
Gibbs (MI)
Kent (WA)

Trump deserves some blame, but the majority of the blame goes to retarded GOP primary voters. They voted for these horrific candidates because they worship a General Election loser. You have to be pretty retarded to do that...like Lenny from "Of Mice and Men" level retarded. They didn't care that they were horrific General Election candidates. They didn't care that Dems were either funneling money to these candidates or propping them up leading up to the primaries so they could be nominated.

Sounds to me like Democrats just out hustled Republicans in the area of voting. Needless to say I guess, lol. But could Republicans have out hustled Democrats and taken home the W? Was it even possible at all?? I believe they could have. But didn’t. In that case the question of course becomes “why?”

Laxalt was actually a quality candidate. He ran against a fairly attractive woman who wasn't despised by voters. NV is also a tough state to win. It's easy for Republicans to be competitive but it's tough to win.

quote:

JD Vance

Although Vance won by about 6 points he BADLY underperformed other state-wide Republicans.

Here were the vote totals for the state-wide Republicans:

DeWine (Governor): 2,580,424
Yost (AG): 2,484,753
LaRose (SOS): 2,444,382
Faber (Auditor): 2,397,207
Sprague (Treasurer): 2,390,542
Kennedy (OH Chief Justice): 2,307,415
Vance (US Senate): 2,192,114

Even U.S. House Republican candidates outperformed him (2,318,993) by 126K votes. Vance was always going to have the lowest number of votes because it was an open seat, but if the GOP had nominated any other candidate it still would've been a 10 point race. Ryan voted with Biden, who is DEEPLY unpopular in Ohio, 100% of the time. A 6 point win was a massive underperformance and speaks to the quality (or lack there of) of the candidate that Vance is.
