Strong negotiation play by Klopp - wants an extra million a year added to the offer.

He can have an entire fleet of tractors, if that’s what he wants. John Deere, hook this man up.

Hopefully we at least asked Klopp for recommendations

I've said all along this is what leads us to Wagner. Who also has a good relationship with Pulisic and some other US men's players. His team at Huddersfield struggled to score in the PL but they were way overmatched. Helluva coaching job to get that team up out of the Championship.

Deere has gone the way of Landon Donovan in terms of the national team they support.

I like Wagner, but he struggled at Young Boys, and Norwich fired him after failing promotion. He’s a decent manager and knows some of the players, but he hasn’t proven to be any more special than any other number of candidates. Hiring him seems like a misguided attempt at finding budget Klopp without near the pedigree.

The people who flip out about the pride uniforms would hate Klopp’s views on politics and the vaccines.

Wagner isn't a HR hire by any means but he's a competent coach that gets a lot out of his players. I'm starting to get a bad feeling we're just gonna settle for Steve C but at least the Federation kicked the tires with some splash names.

So Klopp is out obviously but from people more in the know about soccer than me, who are we realistically looking at getting. Also how much impact can they have in just two years

I don't think no one actually knows.

Who knows? Coaching at the international level is such a fickle because you don't really get to spend much time with the team, so the most important thing is to get player buy in.

Did not know this but the only based people in the entire soccer world are Kroos, Lalas, and Pulisic

Norwich fired him in part because of the new money limitations clubs are faced with and their parachute payments have now ended. Sarge will be sold also.

Nah. I don’t care about people’s personal politics. I care when a national team picks political sides.

I’m sure somebody posted this article already, but among these 16 names are guys I could see being very successful in 2026 and exciting the fanbase in the run up to it.

I want Patrick Vieira. Really like that guy, saw an interview with him several days back and he seems to have a good outlook. Maybe not the worst or best coach either.

A shake-em-up head man with tactician and development assistants...does such a man already exist?

So how many weeks before they circle back to re-rehire Gregg?
