Simone Biles Suffers Gnarly Finger Wound After German Shepherd Attack
© Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports
Simone Biles triumphantly returned home from the Olympics...and then got bitten by a German Shepherd...
quote:

Biles explained the situation on her social media page Friday ... revealing a massive gash on her right hand.

"Here's an update on my finger that the dog bit me," the 24-year-old gymnast said, adding, "German Shepherds don't play."

Details surrounding the attack are unclear ... but Biles said she was forced to go to the doctor to get a tetanus shot and to make sure everything was OK with the injury.

Biles, though, did not seem shaken up at all over the incident ... even joking, "this dog at the farm just said NOT TODAY."

PLEASE give me a break. It's the Twisties, it's a death in the family, it's being fingered by some Dr, it's some medication, it's an injury. God, make this shite stop.

Not sure why this doesn't get more play. She is addicted to Ritalin and Adderall, and has clearance to use the drugs while competing in USA and Internationally. However they are banned substances in Japan and not permitted into the country. She couldnt cope.

Athletes were allowed to bring in the drug for the Olympics through an 'import certificate'. Nice try though.

quitter. I've been following gymnastics for decades and never heard of "twisties." Never heard of a gymnast using it as an excuse to quit, but then it magically clears up a week later. Have any LSU gymnasts ever used that excuse to quit? Serious question.

You don’t know what she was dealing with. I don’t pretend to either, so she deserves the benefit of the doubt. She’s not a hero, she’s not a quitter, she’s just a human being.

You obviously don’t follow gymnastics very closely because it is a very real thing that is incredibly dangerous. It can happen to anybody and it sucks that it happened to her at that moment.
