Saban interviewing several candidates for the vacancies on his coaching staff
Does this mean I didn’t get the job?

That’s pretty much how I envision it going for me.

The team, from the coaches to the players, did not expect that kind of announcement from him today, the first day of classes at Alabama.

It was business as usual in Tuscaloosa this morning with Nick Saban interviewing several candidates for the vacancies on his coaching staff.
Seems kinda a waste of everyone’s time other to maintain a smoke screen.
Even if he’s still involved, his successor is prob gonna want to interview most of them again.

That’s such a badass way to go. You’re the goat, you call it quits when you want

Pete Jenkins was sobbing on air today about his retirement, it struck me as odd…I do wonder if maybe there is a health issue

That’s exactly how it went down with my retirement decision.
This image simply popped into my head

Lol at the coach who went home and told his wife that the interview with Bama “went really well”

Wanted to quickly pop in and share what we've confirmed on our end. It was business as usual in Tuscaloosa this morning with Nick Saban interviewing several candidates for the vacancies on his coaching staff. There was a routine team meeting planned for this afternoon, and Saban was working up until that point when he informed the team he was retiring, citing his age and health concerns. The team, from the coaches to the players, did not expect that kind of announcement from him today, the first day of classes at Alabama.

If I had his money, I would have done this today.

Lol.
And no one will convince me he didn't pick this afternoon, the first day of classes, to "decide"... Purposely locking in those EE's.

Could you imagine spending an afternoon in Tuscaloosa trying to impress Saban for this to happen?

The guy coached for 17 seasons and gave them the greatest run ever, get real. Bunch of shite coaches talk that we are family talk then bail on the team before their bowl game and seniors last games. He’s not doing that.
He’s getting out before it’s full WWE.

Rumor is the health concern is his wife and not him.
The constant nightmares and waking up every night thinking about Nick and Candy Edwards finally got to her.

But if you listen to all the Alabama posters on these sites they will tell You that Nick had this plan and the Athletic director knew this for about 5 weeks and they are going to announce a coach any day now I Mean the delusion of these fans is just ridiculous

I'm frankly glad he's riding off into the sunset, but that dude could really build a football program.
I wish him the best in retirement.
