Shough has a much better arm and has much quicker decision making than Arch. Arch to me in the game today never looked comfortable. I also noticed he was always by himself on the bench.

I've heard rumors Arch and his WR's don't get along well, which would explain him always being by himself on the bench.

I want nothing to do with Arch. We're better off with Shough. If we do go QB next year, it better not be Arch.

Dude also has huge ears, which causes him to hear the rush and get antsy in the pocket

This is as obnoxiously dumb as the tards constantly bitching that Shough is going to bring the entire franchise down.

Can we please purge all these idiotic posters on this board and send them back to Saints Report? I miss the old days when this board was worth a damn

You don’t have a say either way.

He’s overrated, but it’s his first start against a ranked opponent in a season opener at their place.

You got a link to back any of this up or are you just making BS up?

Where have you been the whole offseason in these other threads. Feel like you’re dunking on a kid after a bad game.

Again, Arch Manning isn’t coming out this year. He has absolutely nothing to do with the Saints. Might as well start a Why didn’t the Saints trade everything for Joe Burrow thread? It would be just as relevant.

He's not a kid and we need to stop acting like these players are kids. It's a big reason why they fail to launch and grow up.

Arch Manning is a legal adult. Arch Manning can sign contracts, get married, join the military, buy a house, start a business, etc. Kids can't do those things legally.

Arch Manning is being monetarily compensated and literally was in commercials during his game against Ohio State.

Arch Manning is NOT A CHILD. He is a professional player, and just like NFL players, criticism is valid and deserved.

Yeah but you aren’t saying that because Shough is great.

You are saying it because Arch sucks.

In what world do people actually think we are taking a QB next year? It actually blows my mind.

We are starting the season (year 2) with a fricking 5th rd QB that went 0-7 last year. So now imagine how we plan to treat our QB taken in the 2nd rd... We are clearly giving Shough a 2 year window and expecting him to start next season. We are most likely (99.9% chance) taking BPA at skill positions with our draft next year and giving the 2nd rd pick another year to see if it works out. After year 2 then we will probably take a QB, or trade, or sign one. And if we do take a QB in 2 years it just may be Arch Manning who won't even be in the draft next year.

Assuming Shough doesn't look very good (unlikely) and assuming the Saints are in a draft position that a top QB is available (not a given), the Saints would 100% draft the QB.

Shough wouldn't be a consideration.

IMO Shough would have to show 0 future hope and win 0 games for us to think about wasting a 1st rd pick next year on a QB.

I mean Rattler showed 0 future promise and went 0-7 and not only did we not draft a QB rd 1 but he's starting. If there's ever a time to actually build up our defense or get Shough weapons then its next year and not wasting that pick on another QB.

I'm almost certain that the goal is to not pick a QB in the 1st rd next year and if Shough/ Rattler show any pulse at all then we will hold off on doing so.

I actually think part of the slow integration of Shough in the offense is not only to hint at this exact situation but to make it an easier argument when we indeed don't take a QB and give Shough a full year.

Ain't Shough 7 years older than Arch? Not an apples to apples comparison tbh.

I'll be interested to see Sellers this season. He might be our best bet.

Sure they’d love for it to workout like that. I think it just depends on how good the top QBs look this year and just how bad we are.

If we have the opportunity to take someone very highly touted in 8 months and Shough/rattler win a handful of games looking average the fanbase will revolt if they pass on it.

Shough is 7 years older, maybe let both teams seasons play out first before making idiotic proclamations

Exactly. If Moore thinks he’s in a position to take a franchise QB next year, he will 100% do it. We just have no idea if it will play out that way.

Arch had a poor game. He’s a better QB than who showed up against the Buckeyes. Time will tell.
