I didn’t watch as much as I would’ve liked to, and missed the fourth inning after Casan went three perfect innings. What went wrong today?

His control needs to be better. He’ll get better, he’s not a Friday starter though

Impossible to say after a singular outing. But he struggled with control and anytime he does that (happened a few times last year) he’ll get hit.

It has taken Yeskie to get a feel for calling pitches with each guy. I know he has had Casan for a minute, but this is his first time as a starter. The end game is usually to sync up for conference and especially for down the stretch/post season. Be patient for now.

I think it’s more mental for him. Seems like he puts too much pressure on himself at times and tries to make a perfect pitch/presses.

He’ll be fine.

Sounds like the same issue Floyd had

Command issues. He’s a top five pick if he figures that out.

It’s game 1. Nothing happened. His command was a little off

He was up in the zone today and that’s when they hit him.

The same thing will happen to multiple good MLB pitchers once the season starts

What makes y’all think he’s a bonafide Friday starter? I just don’t see it and I never saw it last year.

Im not saying he is or isn't but I have some concerns. He was hit hard last few outings he's had. You can't have your Fri guy going four consistently and I see nothing from him historically that says he can go more than four or five n maintain control.

No one has said that. But he certainly showed more than Anderson did his freshman year and how’d that work out? People can and Usually do improve on the things they need to work on. If you don’t think Evans had a great freshman season you’re crazy lol.
