Yeesh!

quote:

A ghoulish musical comedy immortalizing the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO gunman, Luigi Mangione, will premiere in New York City — the real-life setting of the shocking assassination — this summer.

“Luigi: The Musical” will take the stage at The Green Room 42 in Midtown West on June 15 — a mere 20-minute subway ride from where Mangione allegedly gunned down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside of a Hilton Hotel in December 2024.

The twisted “satirical” comedy provides a “bold, campy and unafraid” take on the accused assassin’s life in lockdown while on trial for the murder of the dad of two.

It’s marketed as “a tale of love, murder, and hashbrowns,” a reference to Mangione scarfing down the McDonald’s menu item before his arrest in Pennsylvania.

Embarrassing. A cold blooded killer being made into a celebrity. Guess we should expect nothing less in the clown city of New York.

Let's hope that qualifies as Off Off Broadway?

Or it will give some of us a further way to define what NYC has become.

Yes it’s a bar with tables and a small stage. Showroom at best

It's running in a small off-Broadway venue:

In a city of over 8MM people, you're going to have idiots doing idiot things.

Have you missed the zillion streaming specials, podcasts, movies and series on every murderer worth a whiff in the last 300 years, with fangirls included?

Imagine what will happen if he’s acquitted.

They will make a musical out of anything.

He's spending his life in prison regardless of whether there is a musical or not.

Meanwhile, our insurance switched RX providers, and they keep blocking my son’s medicine. I haven’t gotten to Luigi’s point, but I understand it.

I'm going to disagree with that. The next Dem POTUS will pardon him.

OK, that's just silliness. That will never happen.
