Now at Alabama, Holt has become the Crimson Tide’s everyday second baseman and is hitting .281 with a .450 on-base percentage.

Applebey never appeared in a game at LSU, but he has become a trusted arm in two seasons at Austin Peay. The right-hander had eight saves in 18 relief appearances in 2025 and has started five games this season.
Chandler Dorsey, UCF
Dorsey hasn’t pitched since mid-March, as the senior right-hander holds a 10.13 ERA in just 5? innings for the Knights. However, one of his six appearances came against LSU, and in that outing, he didn’t allow a run in 1? innings.

There are some real misses in evaluation there. We replaced those dudes with York, Dardar, Callaway. Not a great year for Jay and his staff.

Some of those guys I don't think were "processed", i think they choose to leave for their own reasons. Costello is kind of an obvious one. He going too have the inside track to be 1B this year. Him leaving is why we had to go out and find someone to play there. Larson is another one that i think jay would have loved to have kept but i think he wanted to play of and that wasn't likely to happen (I think he would have had a good shot at 1b too).
At least one of those IF guys would have been nice to have but a lot of those left a couple years ago. I'll take a natty in hand over one in the bush.
As for neal, while he would be a defensive upgrade at catcher, which we definitely need, his attitude sucked and i wasn't disappointed when he left. Also IMO we don't win it all last year if he stayed

Here are the last 4 on the list:
David Hogg, Grayson College
Hogg has accumulated video game-like numbers at the junior college level. In 38 games, the infielder has 10 home runs, 21 extra-base hits and a .733 slugging percentage.
Dylan Thompson, Blinn
Thompson has thrived since transferring from LSU to Blinn College, the same junior college Tanner Reaves attended before transferring to LSU. Thompson, the right-hander, has a 2.14 ERA and just nine walks in 33? innings.
Nic Bronzini, Little Rock
Bronzini transferred to Washington after the 2024 season, but he only made one appearance with the Huskies and then took his talents to Little Rock. This year for the Trojans, the left-hander has a 6.00 ERA in 18 innings.

Neal is just as bad defensively as every catcher we have today if you think that Neal is an upgrade I’m sorry you didn’t watch him enough in his time here. Limp wristed puss couldn’t hold on to a ball either. The worst sec catcher I can recall. You were right on one thing his attitude sucked always and he got hit in his throwing hand constantly cause he didn’t protect it then flopped like a fish for 10 mins every time it got hit. The reason Neal plays outfield for bama now he still can’t catch

At the time, the only one I really hated to lose was Costello because I thought 1B was all his after Bear.
Larson would've certainly gotten opportunity on this team, but I still don't think he would solidify himself as an everyday starter in the OF.
