Why aren't we smoking every boat that leaves the shore? With the peace talks going the IRGC is running around taking shots at tankers and cargo vessels to undermine any agreement that the political leaders are trying to make.

By some estimates, the IRGC still has as many as 5,000 of these small (20' to 40') mosquito boats in its inventory. I would assume that after the ceasefire expires, these vessels and their docks will be targets.

The small attack vessels are not part of Iran's navy. Those are part of irgc, independent of their navy.

You have to admit they did a pretty good job at designing a force to harass adversaries and in fact control the straights. To take these things out will be painful. We are going to haver to go back into offense mode and hope they didn't get a clandestine shipment of shoulder fired missiles.

I read somewhere that the fast boats are hidden along the shorelines somehow making it hard to pinpoint the location.

You jest and mock but actually an infantry officer can spend 3 hours writing an op order just to clarify 1 word. Will we destroy a tank, demolish it, obliterate it. They all have different meanings and are used purposefully. So in the military, those words mean something

You don't need a ship to launch a drone against a slow moving tanker or cargo ship.
