Underwater swimming/Navigation and bad/no auto camera adjustments. Been playing the witcher through quarantine and love the game, but god damn trying to get shite underwater and fist fights in close quarters can be a bitch.

Achievements that involve multiplayer leaderboards. Quake 4, a 360 launch title, on X360 had one for the top ranked player in the world. fricking BS that you can't have all achievements done.
Games released on Steam since 2010 that lack achievements. Lazy devs.
Open world RPGs without fast travel or it sucks.

My wife can't have her own fricking island in Animal Crossing without having to buy an additional fricking Switch.

Prevents you from activating a switch that takes you out of a scene or area when all you're trying to do is pick up some ammo.
ETA I appreciated it a few times in Destiny where I decided at the last minute to keep a gun or gear

Another for Destiny: When I have to rely on RNG to progress a quest forward.

For everything y'all hate about this you need to watch Viva la Dirt League's Epic NPC Man, PUBG Logic, Red Dead Logic and Apex Logic.

Disagree
Thanks for explaining why.
Warzone, for example on PS4, tapping triangle swaps weapons. Holding it repairs armor. Tapping square reloads. Holding square loots. Two paddles could fix that.

I could be mistaken, but I thought I read that they changed this in Royal
You can still do certain actions at night after leaving Mementos or the Palace buy what Scruffy is talking about are the days where there is nothing but story, the cut scene ends then it loads to you standing in the attic (or sitting on your bed) and all you can do is go to sleep. It still happens way too often.

I always got Kawakami first so I could go out after palaces and mementos, but those other situations are just annoying.
Just skip me to the next day.
Why do I need to be loaded in the attic so I can immediately go to sleep?
I would understand if it was a loading screen, but there is a loading screen just to do that so I can go to another loading screen.

Escort Missions
Pointless Timers. I get it for something where time is important, but I feel like time is artificially used to increase difficulty. It often makes exploring difficult, which is one of my favorite parts of gaming.

Witcher 3 finishing moves leave you completely exposed. When you're in a button mashing frenzy and accidentaly trigger a finisher, some jackass shoots you in the back with a crossbow and you die

Witcher 3 - The fast travel point for Crow's Perch is a freaking mile away from where the armorers and stash are. And those are the only vendors that actually have any gold in the early game.

Overly repetitious dialogue from NPCs in RPGs.
Yeah, I know there's only so much dialogue that can be put into non essential characters, but it gets ridiculous.
When there's a "hub" for a particular part of the story and you keep passing by the exact same NPCs in the exact same places (because it's the only route you can take) and they keep repeating the same two sentences as you pass by, it actually detracts from the feeling that you are part of the world.
In most cases, I think silence is better than repetition.
