46 years old, I'm not getting my hopes up about him contending on Sunday, but is there a more flawed yet beloved individual? Today was an absolutely incredible accomplishment regardless what happens the rest of the weekend. He could be 60 and if he parred the first I'd be thinking oh yeah here we go...

Maybe the leg injury wasn’t quite as bad as he lead on? He is a bit of a drama queen.

Definitely think they'll be a noticeable limp if things start going south, and announcers today made a point to say after a few holes it looked like he was walking better

I can't imagine it wasn't a bad break.

I'm indifferent on Tiger. Love him for his abilities and really like seeing him out there. As of right now I want him to make the weekend cut and see what he can do.

It’s amazing that he did what he did today.

His Fibula was in 5 pieces, and his Tibia, in 4. I'd say that's pretty significant.

Augusta is the perfect place for him, especially in his current state. It showed multiple times.

He can spray it nearly anywhere aside from a few holes. There's essentially no rough. Premium on chipping and putting. -1 is fantastic, especially considering where he's at on the leaderboard, but his game would have had him in a lot of trouble at any other Major venue or tough Tour venue. He'll be able to compete at Augusta for another 10 years as long as he can walk.

I said that a few years ago. He will never compete for another major expect Augusta where he knows the course and it played to his strengths. Maybe a PGA if the course is right aka Phil.

He will never win another US Open or British Open. And that’s OK!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him snake a major over 50 at Augusta like Jack

I think he could possibly have a shot at the old course this year if the weather isn’t too bad.

You love him now? He can win at Augusta, the old course, and maybe Royal, that’s about it, besides when you invite him to Spanish Trail.

That’s a massive if. He stated very clearly that the cold weather makes him hurt.

Honestly, I’m in the camp that thought it would be a miracle to see him walk again. The man is a machine.

Tough end of the draw is tomorrow.

If he can get below 70 tomorrow, it will be amazing.

The afternoon winds will be worse than today.

DJ goes out early.
Maybe he can go low.

That second shot on #14 was vintage Tiger.

The second shot on #18 look really painful for him.

Great up and down for him.

Or get a toxicology report from the accident either. Something is fishy here.

It’s just a scratch!

Very impressive day for him. Hope he’s around Sunday. Won’t shock me either way. Still pulling for the mullet.

His injury was horrific and self-inflicted. I hope he fully recovers and keeps playing golf. (What a curse in and of itself.). He has an interesting life story, but I don’t buy into his most recent (WSJ 4/7) claim quoted therein that he was somehow racially discriminated against when he was younger. He said something like he had to put on his shoes in the parking lot rather than be able to use the clubhouse. Then, claimed to say “where’s the first tee and what’s the course record”. Clever story. Probably the remembrance of some crap his self-promoting father tried to sell back in the 1980’s. He constantly “portrays” himself. That said, for him to be in contention at Augusta at his age and after all this S..T, is nothing short of amazing.

Never cared for him but he is a great golfer. All the cheating on his wife with the skanks and his crash were all self inflicted damages; no way I feel sorry for him. I'm sick of the 24 hour Tiger jerk fest on Golf Channel and every publication. Too many good young golfers out there to focus on just one guy.

Yeah I know, he moves the needle...blah blah.
