I don't think people realize that OLines can be average and still get the job done with a LK run offense.

In 6 seasons in the SEC LSU's (now) HC never finished worse than #3 in the league in total offense. In fact, there were only two seasons where he didn't finish #1.

I think I'll give him the benefit of the doubt right now that LSU will be ok offensively.

As an Ole Miss fan, can confirm. Got to have the right QB to do it though.

It will cause problems in the redzone though. That's where Weis/Kiffin have historically struggled.

We need 4 starters if Moore stays, 3 if Thomas is ready to start.

10% or below.
It’s probably why they haven’t signed a quarterback yet.

Care to expound on what I said that you think is delusional? Or would you rather just continue parading around the board like a bleeding vagina?

100% better than last year. With the addition of Coach Cregg, we already know what he can do.
Go back an look at in comparison OM vs LSU lines. Look at star ratings, player ratings, not even close. Look at the transfers brought in by Lane last season.
The combination of play calling, players development, player evaluation, too many things done right.

Going to be fun watching a true offense! Been a while.

The 2026 OL may be somewhat inconsistent.

But I guarantee it will never be as consistent as the 2025 OL.

Why does it need to be 5 good ones?

Do some of you know all that OL talent that's come out of Oxford the past few years. Let me drop a bomb you might not be aware of.

From the 2022-2025 NFL draft, Ole Miss produced 1 draft pick on the OL, a 7th rounder. Currently they have zero projected picks in the 256 picks for the 2026 draft. So that would make 5 years in a row with 1 draft pick, a 7th rounder.

Lane doesnt need elite or even good OLinemen in his system. Just need guys who can hold up and play within the system and his offense eats.

Offensive output those 5 years producing just 1 draft pick on the OL (a 7th rounder)
2025 - 37.6 ppg
2024 - 38.6 ppg
2023 - 35.1 ppg
2022 - 33.5 ppg
2021 - 33.1 ppg

I know Weston Davis was absolute garbage most of this season, he turned a big corner though pass blocking the last 3 games of the season. He graded out over an 80 pass blocking in fact the last 2 games of the season allowing just 2 pressures in 111 pass snaps.

He was a 2nd year young guy who clearly has the talent, just needs some direction from a much better OLine coach than Brad Davis ever was for him. A mean streak is going to need to be instilled on all the Olinemen for better run blocking, flat out. Most all of them were just way too passive and that starts from the coach. Whenever a Dlineman is constantly beating you to the gaps in run blocking, you know you're being coached really poorly
