Is Emile Picarella (QB) still at LSU? I know he was way down the depth chart, but I assumed he would transfer too if there was no chance to play.

Kelly worked a deal to get Denbrock to ND to promote Sloan, so he could sign Underwood. All other HS QB’s went elsewhere. We have not signed one since. Sloan was not ready to be an OC

Yes we should recruit one QB each year. We struck out with who they offered. They brought in Van buren as the new QB last year. Halsey reclassified the year prior so we knew he had to redshirt he was too young to play.

Mike Archer was the worst to happen. You are just not old enough to know. He gutted the program which led to 6 straight losing seasons.

Ask Kelly and Sloan.

Lolwut?

Denbrock wanted out, to head back north, and Sloan was the lazy promotion because Kelly thought keeping Underwood required it.

Woodward and Kelly are two worse things to happen to LSU football. Without Kelly, Sloan never would have been here.

we did try... we had the #1 QB prospect committed upto about 2 weeks before signing day, which fricked us that year

The problem with these qbs is you aren't allowed to try to recruit a backup option. If we had tried to pursue anyone in addition to Underwood he would have left immediately. We trusted his commitment and he fricked us at the last second.

People forget Emile was a 4 star offered by Ole Miss, Oregon and others at one point. His family bleeds purple & gold.

Guys aren’t staying and waiting there turn anymore

Bama's qb next year will be a 2nd or 3rd year guy- only one would have transfered if Simpson would have come back

Georgia's Qb stuck it out for 2 years

Dante Moore transferred to be 2nd string at Oregon for a year

Sloan was horrible QB recruiter

Why didn't we sign a RB this year or any elite receivers the last several years? We know the answer

In all fairness, Sloan should’ve NEVER been put in that position. He didn’t excel @ La. Tech. Nothing substantial warranted the keys to the offense.

Why would it have mattered? They'd be in the portal.

100%... there's no easy way to do that, when recruiting a top guy... they all want the easy route to starting, so any little bit of possible competition, and they are looking elsewhere... shite, in reality, Nuss may be the last QB we ever have spend his entire career at LSU... i don't think you'll ever see that happen again

Kelly was a bigger disaster than Hallman or Archer.

Yeah. I know his dad. They love some LSU. They moved away from here (Madison). I didn’t know if he hit the portal or not and went somewhere else too.
