This is exactly why you take two. We only grabbed one major portal WR last year. I know we got Thomas too and he’s making a bigger impact as a WR this season, but that wasn’t his primary role coming in. While Daniel’s was solid, he was not the major impact guy we really needed, especially in terms of game breaking speed and athleticism. He was a more polished and experienced duplication of what we already had, and that’s a big reason why he’s not here this year.
Nic Anderson needs to step it up, no doubt, but this isn’t an indictment on the portal philosophy, but the individual doing his fricking job. We still got the impact guy we needed in Brown and hopefully Anderson comes around after the bye week.
