Didn’t he complete game them a few weeks ago? Get the win and move on.

I get it. You don’t want a starter to miss a miss and get out of his routine. Because it’s single elimination, get him a little work today and keep him roughly on schedule.

And, I'll trust Orgeron over you.

Great decision. Make sure he gets some work in a clutch situation then give your young pitchers some work tomorrow. Winning this tournament doesn’t mean jack shite but we may do it anyway.

While I’ll never trust the rant when it comes to any coaching decision, Miles and Orgeron were also national championship coaches. They aren’t invincible.

I’m not going to pretend to understand the move.

So I am going to choose to believe that Jay hates the Aggies as much as I do and is just intent on ensuring he ends that cult’s baseball season, tourney results be damned.

A untraditional move in a tournament that doesn’t matter should not met with such criticism

If the bats do their job we don’t have to pitch both aces on the same night ??

wants the option for Eyanson in regional opener, also he wants to make sure he pitches this weekend

Guarantees Eyanson pitches and will be on full rest next week

We know what we have with Anderson and Eyanson, the rest of the tourney is a chance to stress test the rest of the arms and see who is dialed in for the post season run

SEC thought they could make more money by letting everyone participate and giving double byes. Well, this is what you get

Probably has already been pointed out, but the move makes sense given A&M’s cruddy RPI. We lose this game and our RPI likely drops to 11-14 range. While we should be a top 8 seed no matter what, why risk giving this ammunition to the unpredictable selection committee? Win this game then we are guaranteed to control our own destiny to Omaha while playing at home. While we’d all love to win the SEC tournament title, coach is clearly thinking of the bigger picture. Regardless, Geaux Tigers!
