Anybody who thinks we have a chance to make the tourney doesn’t understand why we lose games in the first place.

Why not go 4-0 in that stretch, with a payback McWin over Arkansas? Just DO it!

Because we didn’t have DJ Thomas to start SEC play and we are much better with him. But you likely haven’t watched so you wouldn’t know that

The SEC is a mess right now with 12 teams having at least 3 Ls. Go 3-0 in that stretch, and LSU is back in the mix.

I’m no expert on college basketball, but a weak SEC means less teams make it? They may take fewer SEC teams and require better records than last year?

Probably a 10 team league this year vs 14 making it last year

This is why I've posted this before, and still stand by it even more today. He shouldn't just squeeze into the tournament and keep his job.

He should have to do one or more of the following:

1 Win the SEC regular season title.

2 Have LSU wearing a WHITE jersey on the first Thursday or Friday of the NCAA tournament.

3 Make the sweet 16 under ANY circumstance

Now if you take the time to digest what each of the 3 scenarios actually mean, and realize he only has to accomplish ONE of them, you'd be hard pressed to find a better way to evaluate this "coach" we currently have.

If he doesn't accomplish at least one of the three, he's GONE.

LSU literally just lost to the same SC team you said they should beat at home! What makes you think they should beat them on the road? Lol

Very true, but LSU is the biggest mess at 1-6 with a BAD home loss vs SEC doormat USCe.

I really want to believe the McTeam will nut up and win the next three (maybe four)! but past experience with this McRegime leads me to believe 0-3 is more likely, with maybe a then-meaningless win to follow over Arkansas or Texas or some other team we weren't expected to beat.

Expound on this please if you can.

If he misses the tournament but is given Year 5, that would be the ultimate insult to the fans.

I have to think Verge & the new leadership won’t stand for that.

I want to believe. I really couldn't care any less who is the coach. The kids play hard and deserve some success.
They play hard and are talented enough to win way more games than they have. That points directly to coaching in my view.

If we as fans are frustrated with the late game collapses, you know the team is 10x more frustrated.

You’ll have to forgive Jim, he loves to shoot his mouth off and make claims he has no intention of backing up. We’ve gone from crawfishing on a bet that we’d win 6 SEC games in January to hoping we’ll win 6 all season. He likes to move the goalpost like that.
