For a big guy, he can flat out fly too

I think you mean #8.

I was going to make a similar comment and was checking to make sure nobody had commented about his speed (for a guy his size). You beat me to it!

Much respect for Frey.

#8 is the baseball equivalent of #18. The feel good player that has put in the time the baseball system

For sure! At 6'-6" 227 running 4.5-4.6 Frey could be a hybrid WR/TE

You consider Rosepine CENLA?

It's West Central Louisiana, not Cenla. My grandson played with Frey on a travel ball team growing up. In H.S. he pitched against Frey a few times in out of conference games. Kid was a beast and hit a HR off my grandson that's still in orbit somewhere.

Cenla is everything in central Louisiana lol, East-West does not matter, Rosepine is absolutely Cenla and 99.9% of people who follow LA High School sports consider it CENLA

I saw one Top 150 MLB draft prospect list that included Frey. He's going to get picked higher than what people think.

I feel like we just saw a much more polished version of him last year get drafted way later than expected in Bear Jones. And that was following Bears best year hitting and a full year playing in the field. I get a part of that is related to what Jones was likely asking for on a contract but for Frey I think he’ll be more appealing to a a person putting together a prospects list than he will for a team drafting in the earlier rounds

So CenLa West lol. It’s still CenLa. Rapides, Vernon and Avoyelles are the virtual belt of the state. It’s all CenLa.

Alex Bregman wore 8 in his sophomore season. Fraley, Duplantis, Cabrera, and Dugas as juniors.

Rosepine, Leesville, Pickering all are selected to both all Cenla and all SWLa teams by the Alex and LC media.

Somewhat disagree. I think Bear probably got calls in the 3rd or 4th round, but with leverage decided to return. I don’t think that was later than expected except for a few on this board who don’t really follow the MLB draft.

I really like this player, but I'm from the 80s. Every time I hear his name during a broadcast, I think they are saying "Deacon Frye". IYKYK.

He is my new Traviniski. A big dude who can swing the bat and absolutely blisters the ball when he is hot.
