lol. You do realize he has been to the finals 4 times as recent as 2023 (after Johnson was here obviously, taking that team to the brink. That 2023 title is not LSUs without the unbelievable catch by Pearson on a 112 mph Langford laser to left.
He took that UF team, that doesn’t have nearly the support of LSU to a super and lost to the team LSU beat in the finals just last season
Like him or not, he is a hell of a coach and obviously still cares because he is suspended the first 3 games for dealing with that shitty Coastal Carolina clown show.
Since Johnson was hired UF has lost in the regionals, lost to LSU in the finals, although they did win the SEC, lost in the semi-finals at the CWS, lost in the regionals at Coastal.

Sully at LSU would have been more than great. He is one is thr top 3 elite college baseball coaches in the country.

Hiring Sully on would have been a disastrous decision. Guy is complete scumbag. Thankfully, the powers to be did their due diligence before finalizing anything. We absolutely dodged a bullet, and bringing JJ on instead was the right move.
