He is the team in SEC average last year.

Yes he’s not a power hitter. He hits for BA.

This is just made up nonsense. He has negative power, but has some of the best bat control on the team.

That bat is the best they have made in years and is on par with everything else out now. I wouldnt expect a good take by you though.

Different competition obviously, but Anderson and Eyanson were better. LSU will not have a top 5 pick pitcher this year. Just need to overcome it with offense.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think it's fair to say Casan Evans can't be a top pick in the draft.

He certainly has the stuff and pitch mix to be a top 5 pick in a year.

ETA: So does Schmidt.

I know I’m a homer for my Friends son but you left out William Patrick, he hasn’t batted? yet. He has though pinched run with 2 SB & 1 R.
It’s tough but I’m still proud he is freshman on the powerhouse of college baseball. Bad thing is he backs up one of the best players in the country, DC

Team reminds mea bit of 2024 tennessee. Elite hitting, good bullpen, lacks a true ace. Obviously slightly different, but close

I think we see a lot of the younger position players return to next year's team than we saw to this year's team because we will lose every single starter in the field outside of Arrambide at catcher so everything will be up for grabs except Catcher, and there is always rotation at catcher so I expect Serna will be happy to stay and get prob 15-20 or so starts.

Eyanson’s first 2 starts: .818 ERA, .82 WHIP

He then proceeded to have an ERA of like 8 in 3 of his next 4 starts. That’s cherry picking stats just to try to make a point. I get what you were doing, but at least say the whole story.

This team has more "potential" than 23 and 25

Just got to get 2 dominant starters heading into the post season.

I’m not trying to be a naysayer here, but SEC play will tell the story. Yorke looks great so far, and he’ll probably do fine in SEC, but he hasn’t faced that kind of pitching very often.

There are a lot of options on this team, so if someone goes cold CJJ can always put someone else in. Even if no one’s hitting drops way off we will still see a lot of SEC games in which the opposing pitcher quiets our bats. We will need days like Ryan Schmidt had yesterday.

Then you probably have 2 of the following for spots 26-27
- Ricken

I bet Ricken is active A LOT. Jay is going to want that infield defense when he has a late lead.

Need to figure out Friday night starter and Moore might be that guy. Evans is a talent but needs to prove he’s a starter.

There’s no Skenes or Anderson on this team (there won’t be a Skenes ever again) and maybe not an Eyanson, so the offense needs to be absolutely elite to reach our goals this year. The bullpen is deep and will be a weapon.

Schmidt just entered the conversation. UCF seemed lost.

Putting standfield back in will weaken a little. He's not a consistent hitter we have better hitters that can play left field

He lead the team in SEC play with a:

.326 average
14 doubles
25 runs

and was second in:
ob% .420

I did. Thanks! I had a rough day yesterday with a stomach bug. Got up this morning feeling a lot better, but I’m still not right. I ran into a garbage can this morning!

Don't count out Schmidt as being the ace

Schmidt probably has the best stuff and chance of being elite just needs to execute. With this offense the pitchers need to just not hurt themselves with free passes.

I can only compare two starts as this year only has two starts for our current top two arms.

We can expand as the year expands.

We are just getting started into a long season.
Yes, and we can win the whole thing this year. But we won’t have a top 5 pick for a pitcher, so we need to overcome that with the offense.
