2015 doesn't lose to both Ar-Kansas and Ole Piss right after being 8-0 and losing at Bama if there's a 12 team playoff. That team lost to Bama and knew the season was basically over despite only having 1 loss at the time, and it showed in those next two losses.
and no, 9-3 is not ok in year 4 with a 5th year QB. This asshat will have lost 3+ regular season games in all 4 years he's been here.
That feat has only happened once in the last 100 years of LSU football by a coach in his first 4 years, Curly Hallman.

Would you be happy with 9-3?
If it doesn’t result in a playoff appearance, no. Henceforth, that is the only acceptable result.

One 1 hand, I’d be ecstatic to finish 9-3
But the reality is all that would do is buy us an extra year or two of Kelly missing the playoffs

Yes, but what year in the future are you talking about? 2027?

Unless there’s great improvement in their play on the field NO. Fans want to see improvement especially from the coaching standpoint and game plans.

Since I believe we are at best a 6-6 team at this point, yes. Before the season, no. Now I don’t see how this team does anything but lay down and die to the Tide or Aggies. At least with Orgeron we could look at COVID or opt outs and understand why we sucked. This year, it’s hard to accept that Kelly has totally screwed up this team.

we finished ranked #7 in 2001 after the sugar bowl win. what were we ranked before that game? out the top 12 i assume?
back then we only played 11 game regular season also. had that bowl game counted as a 12th regular season game...saban woulda made playoffs 3 times in 5 years.

#13
Wikipedia has a good rundown of the polls for any given year for each week. Here is the one for 2001

Happy? Not a chance
Content? Yes.
It doesn't change the fact that BK is not who we thought he was. His resume was built on NOT playing teams that are as good or better than his teams because at ND, they didn't play talented teams every week.

This team is not beating A&M and sure as hell isn’t winning at Alabama lol. So you don’t have to worry about 9-3. It’s gonna be 8-4 or 7-5 according to what LSU does at OU. And right now I dk t see that as a win at all so 7-5 most likely coming.

Yes , but we’ll have to keep the field goal kicker .

9-3 is not happening this year or next
Next year is going to be a complete rebuilding year. Likely around a 4 or 5 loss season if things go ok.

Would you be happy waking up in the morning cuddling up with a naked Sydney Sweeny ?!? Of course !! Is it going to happen… ?!?! Hell no !

At this point, of course. They are heading toward 6-6 right now.

I bet bk would be satisfied with 9 -3. That’s his sweet spot

The fact there's 8 doofuses on here that agree with you is scary enough.

9-3 is mediocre in sec
I don't think some of y'all understand what "mediocre" is...
And yeah, I'd be happy if we could salvage a 9-3 season at this point. We still have to go to Alabama and Oklahoma, and we have A&M, Arky and Western Kentucky at home. That means we'd need to go 4-1 the rest of the way, and we still face 3 teams ranked higher than us, 2 on the road. That would give us a respectable record (no, we don't make the playoffs), and Kelly plays his "fire the OC" card and brings in someone who can highlight the RBs better.
It's not ideal, but it's better than what we're otherwise facing.
