I think the whole issue revolved around branding and marketing.
Sonni was trying to get the point across that NCSU limits the use of the throwbacks for a reason. They like to monetize their use by selling apparel and merchandise associated with those throwbacks.
The business side of the athletic department was concerned they weren’t making money off the use of the uniforms.

They did, but that was a special occasion, they play one game in the old arena every year and they always wear the throwbacks for that game. awesome jerseys and should be permanent
