But i think this is a good move. I would have rathered Favreau but Filloni respects the source at least.

Apparently official.
I have no doubt the IP will be run better now, because it would be impossible to be worse.
However I think the damage has been done in a way that's impossible to ever repair.

Disney is redoing half of Galaxy's Edge. More like 3/4 and retheming it to the original trilogy.

FWIW, Disney announced this week it’s retheming Galaxys Edge in Disneyland and will now feature OT theme in about half the park area. So I’m sure Disneyworld will follow. If you’ve been, the Resistance era will be isolated around Rise of the Resistance, and all the merch and Falcon area will now be OT with Vader, Han and Leia, and OG stormtroopers.
It’s interesting timing anyways and at least a tacit step in the right direction. I know Dave gets hate here and some well deserved. But I really enjoy clone wars and rebels. Late season Rebels is some of the best Star Wars content out there. So I at least have Hope that they might figure this out.

Galaxy's Edge and Starcruiser Hotel were all on KK. Well over a billion dollars lost in those ventures alone. Easier to see in the Hotel debacle, but the lost revenue from the failed use of the OG characters in G. E. has cost Disney bigly.

I didn’t know that about Disney World. Just got back from Disneyland and I don’t care what anyone says that Star Wars area is bad arse. That will be really cool to have it rethemed.

SW is already dead imo. DF can do whatever he wants, but the franchise is never coming back to anywhere near its former glory.
