You should look into what Republicans (socialists, anarchists, Falangists) did to the priests during the Spanish Civil War. its sick.

George Bush was almost cannibalized. He watched his friend get eaten while he was floating to shore after getting shot down.

Haven’t looked into that one specifically, but the Romanian clergy were pretty much tortured nonstop for weeks and months on end until their bodies gave out and making them do all sorts of horrific things to each other.
What the Nazis did was unbelievably horrific and should never be forgiven, but at least they’d stop for a while and let their extremely unfortunate prisoners get some rest every now and then so that they could work later. The Romanian clergy got none of that and were forced to do extremely depraved things to one another.

Crowe has been phoning it in for a long time. The premise of this movie looks really interesting, but we've got a guy phoning it in and a guy who can't act as the two leads, so I'm not optimistic about this one.
All the actors look uninspired. Looks like a crap reproduction of Judgment at Nuremberg.

If it wasn’t for WWII, Civil Rights era, and comic books we wouldn’t have any movies at all.
I wonder why there are so many WWII era movies?

Trailers never really give you any real depth to the actors overall. But I do like Rami Malek....Michael Shannon is basically the same guy in 90% of his movies.

Another film about le heckin evil nahtzees. Is anyone else tired of these? The soviets committed atrocities just as, if not, worse than the Reich. Not agreeing with them at all but some parity would be nice.
Don’t let me get in the way of your melt, but there is currently an action movie with Soviet bad guys on the first page of this board.

Didn't even know this was a thing. Thanks

I'd love to see us kill some Soviets too, but, unfortunately, we never had a war with directly the Soviet Union. That makes it a little harder and just might explain why you've noticed more Nazi killing movies.

Hermann Goering was a large man.

I HIGHLY recommend "Conspiracy". It was an HBO film, so it's always available on HBOMAX. It was a simple/cheap film to make, but has some top tier acting and is full of interesting debates that intertwine logic, bureaucracy, ethnic differences, economics, and military concerns. Schindler's List and The Pianist might be "better" films, but Conspiracy is much more rewatchable and should be an interesting film (even to people tired of the subject, it's not a "woe is me" type of film).
That is a good one. It really shows how "business-like" the Holocaust seemed to those who orchestrated it. Millions of people that were just numbers on charts and graphs. Very eerie.

Yeah, that's what it is. We love nazis and think people should be nicer to them.
Nobody said anyone loves Nazis what are you talking about?

Not by the time of Nuremberg he wasn’t. Crowe would look on point for a 1941 Goering, but not quite here.

Yeah, Conspiracy is solid. Very disturbing when they’re talking so nonchalantly on what their plans of mass murder were, although some present took it more seriously than others.

What has happened to this board? This used to be one of the few places on Tigerdroppings where you could actually go and have real conversations about stuff without someone interjecting craziness and politics. Now there is a post about a new movie and half of the replies are about comparing Fauci to the third reich and complaining that Hollywood is too mean to the Nazis
The moderation sucks here these days. You could easily nip some of it in the bud if you curtailed a handful of posters who send these things off the rails.
As for OP, I love some Rami Malek but this feels pretty oversaturated at this point (And I love a good Nuremburg story given the precedent it set in my own work/field with the Nuremburg Code).
Russell Crowe has been pretty rough the last few years, sadly.

Goering was definitely the most extravagant whore of Hitler’s inner circle with him personally going nuts in the Louvre and taking any painting he damn well pleased to add to his personal art collection, ate the finest foods, and drank extravagantly expensive wines.
He wore high heels and makeup. He was a strange one, even for a Nazi leader.

I think he had like enormous model train setups too

He’s the only one in the High Command that you might have been able to have a good time with if you could look past him being a mass murdering monster. He was the most affable of the High Command for sure.
