Hunter Schafer really did look like Princess Zelda.

Well, she’s a dude, so…

It’s cosplay. Superficial. Wearing woman face, like Dylan Mulvaney .

the scoop that the character of Zelda was going to be a trans *chick* proved to be false.

That was fan wishcasting, not a scoop, or even a rumor. Just manufactured ragebait for you guys to be miserable about.

Of course, you guys are still finding ways to be miserable with the actual casting.

you guys

So, a trans fan makes some wishcasting proclamation about a character, but it’s us guys who are finding ways to be miserable?

Do explain.

How is this any different than a black Snape?

Or is it only wishful thinking when it’s absurdly wrong, but scooping when they get things right?

There are people raging all over social media because this dude named Hunter wasn’t cast in the role of a woman.

If you were honest, you’d acknowledge that recent casting decisions have given fans good reason to be nervous.

I’m still scarred from Wheel of Time.

By going on twitter and finding a trans fan wishcasting a trans Zelda and then reposting it here as news and bitching about it multiple pages?

You dont consider that finding a way to be miserable?

There's so many Zelda games, so we're not sure which story they'll be adapting

Who did that, exactly? And why would anyone do that? Go to Twitter and look for something that is objectively absurd in the real world? Who would think to go looking for a trans Zelda ?

I would consider you to be miserable if you did not do speak out against a male playing the part of an actual female.

Because why would anyone accept that , especially on a children’s video game turned into a movie??

*I see we have some trans fans on the poli board.

Weirdos.

No need to be obtuse. There’s a lot of dumb political shite in this thread.

Yep, even when a movie casts correctly, this place still ruins threads by turning them into the same ol shite

If I had to guess, it will be a mix of the plot from the first game with some OOT mixed in from 64. But OOT (Ocarina of Time) is probably their most popular game. I just don’t see them implementing any time travel this soon. Maybe. But the music , etc will most certainly be based on OOT because it’s the most iconic. The main theme will also certainly be implemented obviously. I imagine they’ll use the Ganondorf concept as well which originated in OOT. You may have no idea what any of that means lol.

Not for a first entry of the film franchise though. Ganondorf being imprisoned and escaping would make more sense for sequels than for the first movie. And the werewolf stuff or Hyrule being flooded and submerged under the sea would be confusing for viewers who hadn't played the games.

Ocarina of Time would be my pick to base the first movie from. OoT game provided a general background story of the creation of Hyrule and the Triforce, where Ganondorf came from, the goddesses, and is an easy to follow storyline. But it needs to be a trilogy. First movie can cover from the start of the game until when Link pulls the master sword from the Temple of Time. Then have the 2nd movie pick up after the time jump when Link awakens as an adult.

On the surface, both castings look great. I really love him in Son of a Critch too

But like ive said in every one of these threads, they really have to nail the Ganon casting. His character in most games (oot, windwaker, totk) usually has the most depth and is the driver of the story.

I just hope they don't make him a beast or something like in Breath of the wild.
