Like how have you been in the NBA for 4 full years and still not take conditioning seriously?

In that Shams/McAfee clip, they mention conditioning more than the hamstring itself.

Next year is the make or break year for me to answer that one.

Whatever's going on isn't working. If he's out next year, I'm done. There's no salvaging at this point. He needs to work his arse off into the best shape of his life to prove he's not a bust; otherwise, he'll always be a "what could have been." If he was working his arse off, we'd hear about it. To me it sounds like he's not.

Unless this year is his wakeup call to take shite seriously, yes. He could go all in this offseason, drop to about 245-250, learn to take care of his body, and have an amazing NBA career.

If he just rides this contract out and shows up at 280+ again, he's clearly made his decision.

Wasn't last year supposed to be the wake up call?

It was supposed to be, hence why he came into camp shredded. Now he's fat again. How many wake up calls does this guy get?

I hate to give up on such a special talent. But I have no expectation he’s ever going to stay healthy enough to be a reliable contributor to a championship team. I hope I’m wrong, I hope next season he stays healthy and leads the Pels to a title. But not holding my breath.

I’m not sure if he’s a liar cause - but he’s signed his last contract with New Orleans.

28 year old UFA Zion who has stayed healthy isn’t resigning with New Orleans, and 28 year old UFA Zion who has continued to be injury plagued isn’t being resigned by New Orleans.

so the clock to win a title with him or extract value for him is ticking. We’ve got 4 years left with him because year 5 of that deal will be a lost year with him.

The zion fiasco is just another chapter, albeit one of the bigger ones, in the very underwhelming pelicans franchise history.

Like others, this whole situation has got my fandom at rock bottom

The lack of transparency to the fans and lie after lie being spoon fed to us by griffin like we are idiots really gets me. I dont care if they piss off zion, they need to be honest and this bs has gone on long enough. Enough of walking on egg shells in the hope that their superstar decides to take his career seriously. Too much coddling and is completely unfair to the fans and the team.

To be short, i give up on zion and griffin. Its honestly embarrassing as a fan. They should be ridiculed for it , and I honestly hope they do.

Philly was forced to trade Ben Simmons for pennies on the dollar, and they still made out on that trade.

I feel like we shouldn't wait until we are the next Philadelphia

That's absolute worst case scenario but not necessarily most likely scenario.

We could be the best Philadelphia but with an MVP like Embiid instead of flame out like Simmons.

Amen. Why can’t we just get some damn truth. It’s pathetic from both the organization and the media and Zion himself.

why are his injuries and recoveries so secretive, ambiguous and ridiculous

I’ve said this on here before and maybe it makes me a “fake fan” but if this is the shite we’re gonna be expected to put up with I welcome the team moving so I can finally have a clean break. I know as long as they’re wearing New Orleans on their chest I’ll never not care. But I’m also over it at the same time.

This shite starts at the top. This power issue and dumb updates come from Griffin. Hes already fired 2 coaches and basically controls Willie like a puppet. But the problem is there is one person who keeps letting him do this and embarrass this franchise repeatedly and thats Gayle Benson. She needs to stop just being face and put her foot down. She’s given Griffin free reign to do whatever he wants and he’s embarrassing this franchise.
