eric gordon - was the centerpiece of the CP3 trade and a rising talent. his first game with the hornets he hit a game winner and showed stud talent. you absolutely match the offer the suns gave him at the time, whether he is malcontent or not.

An Eric Gordon fan is on this forum? How many games did he play while here? The problem was he was so injury plagued or did not want to be here.

Peja for me because I felt that amount of money hurt us from achieving what we should have with Paul.
What?! That was a fantastic signing and did not hurt us at all.

FA signing? Hill is up there.

Ugly contract for a guy meant to fill a role he couldn’t pull off.

I don’t like the Tyreke Evans sign and trade between Tyreke’s awkward fit due to shooting and the fact it lost us Grevis Vasquez and Robin Lopez in the process, the latter of which caused us problems with finding a big man the rest of the AD era.
Agree, Hill was the worst FA signing. Asik was bad all around, from the trade to the contract. Tyreke was a disaster and messed up the team for a while.

Eric Gordon was a trade and not a signing.

It’s probably a tie between Hill, Asik and Posey.

Posey was a massive disappointment b/c he was suppose to be that glue guy that put us over the top and we overpaid for that role and he didn’t fill it.

Zion's 2nd contract. We created outs in case things went wrong. Things went horrifically wrong and we still refused to trade him and guaranteed his contract lol.

JJ Redick ended up being a pretty bad signing at the end of the day. None of his vet leadership rubbed off on anyone. He trashed the organization on the way out bc he thought he was Lebron or KD status and could pick his trade destination. Then he became the head coach of "our rival" and he's probably got pretty high upside as a coach vs what we have here tbh.

Worst trade were the lack of trades to move up 1 pick to get Sengun or Haliburton. Both were obvious moves and we had a shitload of assets to get those done at that point.

Any list should start with Omer Asik and Solomon Hill or they are just bullshite. Asik sucked well before he went to Mexico and swallowed the worm then lost half his body weight from it and Hill was terrible from the start.

According to our fanbase we have the dumbest front office in the sport. Turns out our fanbase is even dumber.

Sick burn. Very clever.

I've actually been on here since before Anderson was signed though. He was heralded as this massive finishing piece that would vault us into contention. He was given top 3 team money, at the time and was adored, mainly cause he was a nice, clean cut white dude.

But he might possibly be the worst defender in Pelicans history, especially given his rate of pay and minutes played. He was super weak, slow, and couldn't check any PF in the league. He was unplayable next to Davis, who didn't want to play Center. So it's was a horrible signing that set us back years and started the momentum that got Davis checked out. Massive missed opportunity that led to us making desperate moves trying to fit the roster together.

I expect hate on this opinion and don't care. He sucked and was out of the league a couple of years after leaving us. There is more to basketball than shooting 3s..

You expect hate on a dumb comment and as you should. Guys who shoot 38-40% from behind the arc are beyond valuable. Davis’ refusal to play the 5 because he was soft isn’t a knock on RA. Dude averaged 17, 13, 19, 16 averaging about 30 minutes a game, over 40% from the field.

Didn't Anderson suffer a crazy debilitating neck/back injury 1-2 years before he was off our team?

That might have contributed to him being out of the league soon after he left here. I also remember his GF hanging herself. Dude's neck and brain was all effed up. I don't think he necessarily aged out of the league naturally. Think there were extenuating circumstances attached to his decline.

So he was a horrible signing b/c lil bitch Toni didn’t want to play the position he was best at for some minutes during the game? He played it for the lakers b/c his pimp told him to.

Dell coulda flipped him at the deadline for assets but pulled a Griff and sat on him to long. He was at worse a net neutral signing that Dell coulda flipped for future assets but screwed that up.

When think of bad signings, RA would never even cross my mind.

Which player was the worst signing ever? I’ve got 3 1. Eric Gordon 2. James Posey 3. Solomon Hill Agree/Disagree? Who do you think was the worst Pelicans signing ever?

1. Tyson Chandler trade. I’m not even going to bother to look up the return. The then hornets broke up a 50 win core Chris Paul, David west, Tyson Chandler. Chandler goes to anchor a title team and win defensive player of year.

2. Tyreke Evans. That guy may have had the least useful nba skill set of any “good” player. Awful deal that hamstrung us building around AD.

3. Jrue holiday. One shot left to get something, anything for jrue holiday.

4. Number 4 pick into Hayes and Naw.

5. Every trade we declined with Zion.

Asik for sure. No skills, no strength, no athleticism, and the worst pair of hands I’ve ever seen. He literally brought nothing to the table.
