Thank you for having a rational opposing view point unlike others here. Just wanted to say that before I post on what I think.

The deal I wanted that I thought would take this club to the next level wasn’t even a big one. I like the general makeup of this team when it’s healthy but I thought if we had made the deal to get Jarred Vanderbilt last year instead of him going to the Lakers it would have provided that small ball athletic, rim protecting 4/5 that the team is still lacking. Combine him with the shooting we got with our pick this year at 14 and I would have really loved this team’s chances this season. When that didn’t happen my next preference would have been landing a guy like Naz Reid. We didn’t get any of those guys but it doesn’t mean a player of value won’t be available for trade mid season next year and we still have plenty of draft capital and players to make a deal if one materializes. Generally though a small market team like the Pels just needs to draft well and develop because that is the only chance of being a perennially good team.

Gotta see what Liddell and Matkovic looks like before we make anymore moves. They got a vet in Zeller, we should hope EJ, Karlo, and Robbins will ball out in the summerleague and give the staff confidence to roll with them.

If just one of EJ, Karlo or Robbins turns out to be a solid bench player the team would call that a massive victory. I worry about EJ’s athleticism being able to translate, especially coming off a knee injury. He’s had a lot of seasoning in college though so he shouldn’t need much development. He will either be good enough to stick or he won’t. Karlo on the other hand has all the athleticism and tools you want but the question will be has be developed enough to make the jump from Europe.

I’d be down for that trade 100 out of 100 times.

FYI Jaxon Hayes wasn’t that bad as this board made him out to be showed a lot of potential when he started 2 years ago. I do not think he is even 24 yet

The only thing he did good was run and dunk on the basketball court.
Really hard to tell if that was his limitation or the coaching staffs limited vision for him.
I first noticed him in a ncaa game for tex.
the analyst made excuses to him. "his dad was NFL. he played football in high school until his senior year. he's just learning basketball now that he's too tall for football."
his bbiq is down near moron or idjut.
it was a terrible mistake.
not only didnt he know the game the day his name was called at door #8 it appears he didn't bother to learn it.

I'm glad he's not on a team I root for. l.a. is ideal.

Dame makes a lot of sense with Miami ( I have no idea about salary issue. I don’t care enough to check).

Dame looks great on basically every team in the league when the new team gives up no assets of big value for him.

Healthy Dame doesn’t make you a title contender. Healthy Zion makes you a title contender.

Who are you people? My Lord - what a dumb trade

We need to ditch Zion, but why would we want to be the trailblazers 2.0?
Posted on 7/4/23 at 7:43 am to Broski
Healthy Zion doesn’t exist. lol

Neither does a healthy Dame if we're honest, especially at 34 years old.
We're idiots if we give away Zion and a 1st for him.
