Olave is a good player and WR. He is having a down year. Plus a developing QB isnt helping him. Carr and Dalton got a lot of production out of Olave.
This year he is having a down year.
He would be great in Tampa, Buffalo, Giants, Pittsburg, or St.Louis

He's second in the league in targets

No doubt a hall of Fame qb would be better for him but he limits his greatness. At least twice every game there's a concentration lapse or catch a great receiver would make that he does not.

Get a 3rd rounder….. that might geaux up depending on his snap % or production.
Take It. !!!!!

Josh Allen needs help and Olave would be someone who can definitely do some damage with him as QB.

I agree but the Bills are so run heavy and spread the ball around in the pass game.
Selfishly, I'm all about getting the highest draft pick position as possible so the Bills would be towards or at the end of potential round as far as the pick number.

And save $15M in salary next year from what I heard in the radio this afternoon

Hope so, we need to trade a couple slightly above average players

Came from a friend that knows someone. Maybe it’s bs maybe it’s not. I have no way of knowing. But he specifically said the giants and patriots inquired about him.
I just wonder if something kicked off after the game Sunday. Olave did have two drops. And doesn’t seem to have his heart in it. That’s just my speculation though.

I am ok with that. He isn't WR we thought he was.

Agreed, press hard for the 3rd and make it count next season.

I def don't want to pay his next contract
I don't want to pay his $15.6M guaranteed 5th yr option next season, let alone a second contract that will likely pay $20M+.
The problem isn't that Olave is a bad WR, it's simply that he is "only" a good WR on a bad team that needs more talent at multiple positions, and trading some of our higher priced assets is a way to get draft picks, and save cap space to add talent/depth elsewhere. Olave is clearly our best WR currently, but just being Saints WR1 does not meant he is a true WR1 deserving of that pay, or even high WR2 pay. Regardless of what the market value salary is for his production, it does not necessarily hold that same value to the current state of the Saints. Olave's same production can be more valuable to a contending team than it is to a 1-5 team rebuilding, including contract status.

but I hope trading him doesn't hurt Rattler / Shough's development.
It'll make or break them. He's our leader in targets (64) with Juwan next at (37), catches (39) with Juwan/Rashid next at (26), & yards (342) with the next being Rashid (316).
But I believe it's worth it for the long term. Especially for Rattler it can possibly help him to scan the field more through his progressions instead of relying 1st read to Olave and forcing it to him. It can possibly hurt him if he plays too anxious and tucks & runs as soon as he wouldn't see Olave open, but if he were to start that then I think that would confirm to everyone that he's not QB1.
It's called a "trade" for a reason, each party has to give up something to get something.

Given Loomis incompetence would not surprise me if he traded him to St Louis

the Giants would have higher draft picks
Giants second will be top 35. I gladly throw in a fourth or fifth with Olave for this!

If Olave gets moved this board would absolutely melt at the return
