Cooks was a number two last few years. He’s a number three now.

We just needed a bigger possession type receiver instead of another soft midget

At its best, we are short on WR talent. We basically go 2 deep. But, the real problem with the WRs is that the likelihood of getting a full season out of Olave is slim to none and Shaheed is coming off a major injury.

Having said that, those 2 with a competent QB are capable of doing damage.

True but they still have arguably the best receiving TE in the league in Bowers.

Jets
49ers

Once Olave or Shaheed goes down we're fricked again.

What NFL team wouldn’t have issues if they lost their top 2 WRs?

no way he is a top 20, maybe 25th … maybe

So in your mind there are 7 teams with a worse #1, and you still think this team has the worst WR corps? Shaheed is a solid #2 & cooks has to at least be an above avg #3

You can find a handful of these guys on basically any group in the league. They are replacement to below replacement level players.

Olave is an average number 2 at best. Shaheed is a low end 2 or high 3. Put that together with no oline and very inexperienced qb’s and we should have the number one pick next year.

I know im in the minority and this may be a hot take, but i think shaheed is our #1 receiver and is criminally underrated. Also not sure this season of qb play will help

How are these young quarterbacks supposed to have any success. Maybe I’m wrong but is there another team with worse receivers?

There isn't a team in the NFL that wouldn't break their necks trying to scoop up Shaheed or Olave if they were FA's.

After them yea, it's very thin. I'm sure they wanted to address WR in the draft but other player ranked higher presented themselves. when the pick came up.

I'm not mad about it, you can not undo 10 years of mismanagement in one draft and FA period.

Could emerge as sneaky-good 3 & 4. Petting hasn't lived up to his billing, but still has had some success. Coaches raved about Tipton before injury, and he's showing out again this year

Depends if measuring top 2-3, or overall depth

I don’t think worst but definitely not ideal

It's damn sure the less paid or close to it.
This year it's not a bad thing to not be hamstrung to huge WR contracts that are on almost everyone team.

You know we have all heard and bitched ourselves for the last almost what ten years of bad contracts and being over the cap.

Now it's turned to "all our players suck get better players."
