8. New Orleans Saints
Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

After rumors swirled about Chris Olave being on the trade market ahead of the deadline this season, it looks as if New Orleans is hanging onto its star wideout. However, Olave is under contract for only one more year, and even if the Saints extend him, they still need more pass-catching options for second-year quarterback Tyler Shough. Consider that Rashid Shaheed was the only other Saints wide receiver with over 300 receiving yards this season, and he was dealt at the deadline. Tyson could immediately be a red zone target for Shough thanks to his strength and ability on contested catches.

Tyson is a very good receiver. I didn’t think any reviewer this year was worthy of a top 10 pick until I watched Sam Leavitt highlights. It was supposed to be about Leavitt and all I saw was Tyson getting wide open or making a fantastic catch. The dude is legit.

I have it on very good authority that the Saints would pounce on Love if he is on the board at #8, and if they go WR they much prefer Tate over Tyson. If both Love and Tate go in the top 7 they will have a good shot at one of the top defensive players.

Only question is the injuries. But we are about to ink Olave to huge money so I’m not sure we care about that

This is a diverse route tree. Lotta action at the LOS too. Lemon’s tape is nice too. Hope we see these guys are the combine

I want Reese, Bailey. Bain, or Downs in that order. One should be there. I’d consider Tate instead of Downs if both were on the board. But I want an edge guy if one of those three is there.

With Dante Moore out its very possible those 4 are gone before us.. Tate as well, and probably one of the OTs

Mock drafts should not be taken seriously until after the SR bowl, unless it’s SirWinston’s
