We live in Prescott the whole area is cool
The drive to Jerome is impressive
Jerome is an amazing little town
I have been to Jerome 3x, the sliding jail is cool. Last time I was there the Ray Nagin re-election sign was still on this POS house that I saw for the first time well over 15 years ago, I laughed my arse off. My dad made me drive him from Santa Fe to Prescott 2 years ago when he was visiting so he could see the square and other areas that Louis L'Amour and Zane Grey wrote about in their westerns, not my thing but he enjoyed it.

Mostly they are ignored
Some pro-Trump show up the next day.
The locals that I’ve met think it’s a waste of time.
We enjoy the area it’s amazing

We stopped near Williams Arizona close to the Grand Canyon and spent a night at a place right on Route 66. Its was a very cool place and vibe

I've been on a lot of it....Like being in America 70 years ago.
The Blue Whale in Catoosa OK was a trip.

The best July 4th fireworks show I've ever seen was in Tucamcari. Seemed like a predominantly Native American town so I was quite surprised.

Trivia: Remember the original movie M*A*S*H? The disgruntled army sergeant that is bemoaning his fate having to drive Hawkeye and Trapper John around golfing and geishaing in Tokyo (“Goddamn Army! Goddamn Army jeep!) is the guy who wrote Route 66.

I got trapped on the route near Arizona during a monsoon. Good times

I may try to take a short trip up to see a Rangers game this summer, then hit up some of the road in Oklahoma. That’s on my list.

What kind of kick are you on, son?

I want to drive through the AZ portion between Kingman and Flagstaff. Seems to be the most maintained segment of the route other than that of western Missouri.
Seligman, Winslow, and Williams look like a step back in time. The picture above of this diner in Seligman reminds me of Pickles in Seaside FL. Williams is where the Grand Canyon Railroad begins and takes you to the rim behind a steam locomotive.

Live just off of 66 in Missouri. In the town of St. Roberts, they recently made a small park using some of the old neon signs from back in the day...it's pretty cool

A friend of mine was from the family which owned the Hackberry station in Kingman, AZ.
Was an iconic stop on that route.
The old Corvette was amazing.
I would like to make a motorcycle ride on the whole route.
