Frostop was open in the 90s.

I was not in Baton Rouge much from the late 80's until '96-'97. They could have put a Goudchaux's in the old I.H. Rubenstein's building and I would not have known.

i remember seeing Karate Kid II at the theater on Essen. I think it was still around until the mid 90s.

I remember seeing ET at the LSU theater. That was still around until the mid 90s as well.

My wife's friend claims Cortana Mall never had a Movie Theatre unless it was before the 80's.

I'm pretty sure it did have one but to be honest the 80's were a blur for me. We partied hard in those days.

I wish they had. It downgraded by degrees, finally culminating in a flea market.

Mate I used to work at GAP and then take 2 nights of food home from Piccadilly (would usually get drunk and eat them both at 2AM)

There was absolutely a McDonalds in Bon Marche at one time. Late 70’s early 80’s I worked there for the Christmas rush. They made a $1000 per hour which was amazing money for that time. I usually worked the Florida Sharp location but the needed people.

I MIGHT have seen Midway there, not sure

That was a Belushi film, making fun of midway. 1941 was the title.

No... I fully remember seeing Midway, and that's what I'm talking about. I just can't remember for sure where I saw that.

Essen was still around until the late 90s, mainly showing second run or arthouse kind of stuff by that point. I saw Big Lebowski there in 98 IIRC.

As a teen/college age the theaters I remember frequenting were: Bon Marche Super 8 (added more screens at some point), Bon Marche (outside the mall- multiple screens), Cortana Mall (multiple screens, University Cinema (LSU- multiple screens), Varsity Cinema (on campus- saw Rocky Horror there), Broadmor (bargain cinema with multiple screens), Drive In on Airline (2 screens- saw dusk to dawn horror marathon once), Pasqua Theater (I’m from Gonzales- single screen) May be a couple more I’m leaving out.

I saw Grease at Cortana, multiple times. It was in the theater that had just 2 seats on one row in the corner
also they played a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute before the movie
