When it's a day where half of the first page isn't tranny or crime threads - it's a good day

During Air Force Tech School, a group of us would go to different hotels in San Antonio and swim in their pools during the summer months. One of them was on the roof! No IDS checked, no key cards, wide open access.

More times than I care to admit when I was right out of college. All was fine and dandy until I ran into a guy I was working with at the buffet line - he knew I lived in town.

Karma hit me when I tried one and got hit with a $30 bill for a crap buffet.

Downvote away I deserve it.

I will say hotels are the best place to crap on a road trip though.

Great place to work remote when traveling. Knock out 300 miles then drop in as the breakfast is shutting down. Grab a banana and a cup of coffee. Find the remote and turn the TV down. Usually have the breakfast area to myself for 4-6 hours before I get in the road again. Clean restroom down the hall.

When I was in my 20’s, I used to park in the back lot at the radisson by MSY and take free shuttle to airport, come back, call for shuttle pickup and drive off. I stayed one time and realized there was no parking stubs or proof of stay needed to take the shuttle. So I took advantage of free parking, no way I’d do that these days though

FWIW, you could probably get free breakfast for life if you applied yourself.

No, but on road trips I take a dump in their lobby restroom. Much cleaner than a gas station (unless there’s a Buc-ee’s nearby, of course).

I just make my son walk in with me and we just have a fake conversation as we walk past the front desk, acting like we belong there. Then I hit the crapper while he exits the side door and heads back to the car.

I’m a Hilton Honors Diamond Member so I feel entitled.

Was over there in October, Buc-cee’s don’t have crap on Irish truck stops, convenience stores, they’re all clean as a whistle

I somehow completely missed these, but who needs to shower while driving in ROI? It's a 2 hour drive from Galway to Dublin?? 6 hours from Sligo to Cork. (For those not familiar, that's basically the farthest points from each other on East/West and North/South.)

you would think it’s that quick, once you get of the freeway you can’t go a mile without a roundabout, takes three hours to go 150 miles
