From something just I just posted (so borrowed - repeated) in the seed oil thread.

This might also help... https://www.livescience.com/human-behavior/citation-cartels-ghost-writing-and-fake-peer-review-how-fraud-is-causing-a-crisis-in-science-and-what-we-can-do-about-it-opinion.... because from my understanding this is another where studies on Glysophates and seed oils may come into question.

short answer from an AI:
quote:

Glyphosate is a widely used herbicide, and "ghostwriting" refers to the practice where company employees, like those from Monsanto, secretly write scientific papers that are published under the names of independent researchers. This unethical practice has raised concerns about the integrity of research and regulatory decisions regarding glyphosate's safety.

It's also used as a desiccant on grains to help dry out and force all the plants (in a single field) into being harvest ready at the same time. It's a very widely used practice and extremely economically profitable.... to the point of mission critical in such close to the bones financial times.

Dave’s Killer Bread tested low compared to other brands

Compared to which other brands? The brands with observed weed killer or the ones without?

I swear people who write these articles seem to have, at best, elementary level writing skills.

triple digit what, exactly?

the unit matters a lot when discussing toxicology, and the fact that they left out the unit and just said "triple digit" to scare people should make anyone question this story.
It's time to panic people!!!!

California is by far the leader in this and has been for many years.
Alotta people move out of California because it's dangerous. All sorts of stuff is known to cause cancer there but nowhere else.

Then we are all fricked because it is in everything.

Y’all do reallze that the only reason the world can feed the massive amount of people we have now is because of Roundup resistant varieties, right?

Roundup Ready soybeans, Roundup Ready cotton, Roundup Ready corn, Roundup Ready canola, Roundup Ready sugarbeets.

Roundup Ready wheat isn’t released yet- so this “triple digit” level is residual from other crops in the rotation, or pre planting burndown.

Everyone wants to shite all over glyphosate, but humans live longer and live more productive lives than ever.

Go take all the biotech out of ag. and see how a starving population feels.

The other thread showed the "high levels" of contamination to be a few parts per billion.

Yeah I just looked at the report.

And just FYI, all the MRL (Maximum Residue Limits) in crops are in ppm.

And you got no comments at all to this post!

If this was a true problem then I should have been dead at least 25 years ago.

There’s a Netflix movie called Dark Waters about chemical contamination. It’s good. .

Just about any grain is going to have toxins in it. Even ‘organic’ oats have traces of harmful toxins. Quit eating so many grains.

Very possibly.

It's a form of the question of modernity: would you rather live 50-60 years organically or 80-90 years thanks to industry but with a high chance of dealing with health issues later in life?

ETA: Do they even have Bunny bread in Florida?
See

I'm fairly certain that it is sold in a fairly narrow band from New Orleans to Chicago. Traveling from Lake Charles to Deridder we laughed about the Bunny Bread signs near Deridder 50+ years ago. It wasn't seen in stores west of the Atchafalaya except Deridder.
