While they were still in the cart, I would take a handful of candy and throw it at them, while yelling "Fore!".

I mostly agree that the new trend of everyone truck or treating in golf carts is lame.

Your kid can walk or ride on your shoulders, people have done it for decades, plus the golf carts block the road for regular trick or treaters.

There was a group of like 20 people/kids dressed as farm animals riding a trailer full of hay pulled by a tractor, I thought that was well done

I don’t even remember parents being around when we were trick or treating in the 70s and 80s

Yup. Parents didn’t go with us ever.

We walked with our 4 year old for over an hour then got on the golf cart so we could go to another section of the neighborhood and hit a few specific houses that went all out decorating. Mind your own business.

I haven't seen a kid ride a bike in years. All electric scooters and shite

I run a lot. It’s very rare to see a kid on the sidewalks with pedal bike or manual scooter or skateboard. They are all zipping around on battery powered garbage going 30+ mph.

We have a ton of golf carts in my subdivision. I drive mine every year. My job is to be the booze wagon and play music. The kids run back and forth.

My biggest pet peeve on Halloween night are all the selfish parents who both take their kids trick r treating and then no one stays home to hand out candy. And don’t say “just leave a bowl out”. Most of them don’t even do that and even if they do, it all gets stolen within 20 minutes.

Only to be one upped by members of Altima culcha who follow (and holler at) their kids in (from) a car.

See it every hear - never mind that the streets are sufficiently full of pedestrians for them to be a hazard.

No problem with carts, semi OK with trailers, but don't drive your vehicle and have your teenager hop out for candy
