Stalin
I’m not sure on Ghengis totals but if he’s not ahead of Stalin no one is.
Stalin not only killed more, we don’t really know how many he killed because he had a habit of erasing them literally from history. As in taking them literally scratching them out of textbooks and photos etc.
He was ruthless. He would take those who had been oppressed in prior wars and make them the leaders of groups set out to kill take and send people to gulags. So you could have a orthodox Christian who loses his land to the state by way of a Jewish man who was made in charge of collecting because he knows the orthodox family killed many of this man’s Jewish family members in prior engagements.
Christians crucified upside down
One mom watched as her baby was beat like a piñata.
One mom was raped repeatedly then told to lay under the hanging bodies of her family that they then beat ruthlessly to let everything just fall down on top of her.
Literally demonic vodka filled satanic shite.
Sick shite really.
First wife killed herself. I don’t know if it’s true or not but I’ve read books that simply said she couldn’t stomach what Stalin did and was doing to people. Once she killed herself they said he was never the same and his heart became blacker.

Dunning Kruger is real.
Do yourself a favor. Read The Book of Five Rings, or go watch a YouTube video about the most popular sayings from the book.
Musashi would have no problem cutting Jones into a Jenny then sodomizing him in front of your tear stained face.
Bwahaha

Alexander never lost any battles either and was also a part of virtually every battle during the Macedonian conquests. Genghis’s generals did most of the work with Russia and Europe. Wherea Genghis was more hands on with the Asian and Arab lands. It’s an interesting debate. Tough to go wrong with either of those two.
Alexander certainly makes a compelling case for number 1. My only real argument against your point is that he inherited his army whereas Ghengis Khan had to build his from scratch. His mettle as a warrior had to be proven to his people.

Putting guys like Caesar in there is kind of odd. Yeah he’d go to the front lines from time to time to rally troops, but he for the most part he was acting as a general and not involved in the meat of the battle
Agree 100%

ETA: Genghis also lost some early battles. One against his blood brother that almost cost him his life (battle of dalan baljut). Blood brother ended up being a real a-hole though and lost a ton of support due to his brutality
Another good point. I guess I would argue that losing to his people and coming back to conquer and subjugate them is a quality of a warrior.

Jones is like 6’5 260 and these guys were like 130 pounds. He’d disarm them in like 5 seconds and toss them around like a rag doll. It ain’t close
I mean, why don’t y’all just suck him off already?
These warriors weren’t amateurs.

These dudes aren’t on the same level physically as this man.
What does it matter when a sword is sticking through his abdomen or his head is 3 feet away from his body?

He still saw frontline action during the Gallic and Roman civil wars. The most famous of which occurred at the Battle of Munda in 45 BC where he rallied his wavering army by grabbing a shield, taking off his helmet, unsheathing his sword, and charging into the maelstrom.

Gaius grew up looking at the preserved faces of his ancestors kept in a special room. They literally removed the faces of his ancestors to remind their descendants of their duty. He participated countless campaigns. He was not always a general. He was not always an Emperor.
Be careful of old men in a young man's game.

True. But he also never was an emperor. His nephew and adopted son Octavian was Rome's first emperor.

For sure, I wasn’t meaning to discount Genghis in favor of Alexander. I just feel like it’s a 1a and 1b situation. If you’re war gaming it they probably come out pretty equal

Technically, you are correct. But...an emperor is still an emperor even without the title.

I am in agreement. While modern fighters are perhaps physically superior and trained in methods beyond what these historical figures had access to, they didn't grow up with death as a constant companion. The men we are discussing joined as what we would consider children and stared men in the eyes as they plunged steel into their enemy's guts.
I read somewhere that most new soldiers in their first engagements miss high at a rate of 75-90%. They have a very natural and understandable aversion to killing someone.
Ancient warriors had to get close.
So, I don't think sport fighters should even be considered. I don't know if they could really get over the killing. But you wanna throw someone like Jocko in there, I can't really argue against it, but if you put anyone from the modern era against someone from an era where life was less sancrosanct, I'm taking the guy that grew up killing to live.

Thanks for dropping the reference. I am not much of a history buff but love reading stuff like this. You weren't kidding when you said brutality.
