Just follow them to facebook.

Facebook and youtube suck for conversations. Forums have sub forums, separate threads. The other stuff just turns into long strings with no usable hierarchy. Replies buried under other comments so you can't view by date etc. Just a mess beyond a couple comments.

The feature on this forum to see the replies is great. You can follow those within other conversations, follow the follow ups, and easily return to the main thread.

I guess 'the kids' think forums are old fashioned. The hell with 'em - the wheel, and sex are old fashioned too. Use what works.

I think it’s a trend, not your bad luck. In the last 12-18 months 2 guns/hunting/shooting forums I followed regularly have shut down and I suspect one the replacement forums will also close due to little traffic. Like someone already mentioned I don’t think FB is a good format for message boards.

I have noticed less traffic on some jeep forums as well. I am not as regular as I used to be but just looking at post dates in a thread.... just not as much use.

No, it was called VROC for Vulcan Riders and Owners Club and worldwide it had close to 40K members. There were rallies I attended in Lake Lure, N.C., Maggie Valley N.C., Durango Co., Eureka Springs, AR., Suches GA. etc. Dedicated to the owners of Kawasaki Vulcans primarily, but all riders were welcome to participate regardless of make of bike.

I wasn't as active the past few years with the group but would check in from time to time to see how things were going. I know for a fact that at least 50 or so members I had hung out with at various rallies going back to 2000 had died over the years.

Government is killing the internet because, as it turns out, they don’t really like free speech. It’s been slowly ongoing for a decade

I think that they are dying off due to no supply of new members from web searching.

When Google eliminated forum results from searches and then eliminated forum search in general it killed a lot what was driving user growth.

I’ve been on a BBQ forum for over 15 years. Good threads used to go a few pages, and a few went for 10+. Now, a good post will draw two to five replies, and it seems like most posters are senior citizens.
