Of course, the female anchor was quick to say "hit by a speeding driver" as if she's trying to find a way to put blame on the driver of the other vehicle.

She is. It's NEVER their fault. It's the "speeding driver" or law enforcement overreacting to petty crime, homeowners valuing their property over the criminal's life, etc. and so forth.
