Mine went down this month too with Progressive, $60 less for 6 months on 2 vehicles. I'll take it! It always goes up.

Tell me you’re not from Louisiana without telling me you’re not from Louisiana. I have 3 cars and mine is $700/mnth.

How is this possible? How old are the other drivers?

year models are

Two drivers in their 40s.

In other words, i am insuring, on paper, 30-40k worth of cars.

Four vehicles and you were only paying $324 a month?

I live in Rhode Island, have Amica Mutual, and ours went down by 20% and I have no idea why.

Thanks. I got so pissed that you were paying less than me and I only have 1 fracking car, I called Geico and told them Progressive offered a drastically lower rate and higher coverage so they dropped it $500.

Lesson to learn folks. If you have been with an insurance company for a long time, be sure to periodically shop your insurance.

Next 6 month period I will probably switch to Progressive.

As someone who does this for a living about every 2-3 years tends to be the sweet spot.

I got hosed. I've been with Geico for 20 years and I just recently bought a new car and I told the Insurance guy that I would be shopping the insurance because I knew I had been with them forever with increases every year. HE said I was receiving a great discount for my loyalty and zero accidents, then the jackass raised my monthly payment $100.

This thread just reminded me to follow through.

Just switched to progressive after 8+ years with Allstate, whose recent renewal was almost double what I was quoted with progressive for same coverage.
