I’ll never do this again…

I don’t miss it every day. But there aren’t many days I don’t.

Looked at her Wikipedia entry to see what she was up to. 3’9”.

A few years ago, she caught her husband in bed with another woman. She got arrested for stabbing him in … the leg. Of course.

The inspections program is long gone. I will never be 17 again and likely won’t work in a garage in the future. And yet I realized today that I would enjoy doing that task one more time.

That’s fricking weird but at least harmless.

Being an intern type or junior level employee and being good friends and close with co-workers. Going to lunch, happy hours, work trips, ranking the chicks in the office, dating one or two of them, etc. Overall pretty carefree with limited responsibility or stake in the company.

Yeah that’s a good one. It really added to the work environment and maybe even getting ahead as far as being more involved in things.

Working at Bruno’s Grocery store in my teenage years in the 90s.
I just had to share this. I grew up in Huntsville in the 2nd part of my childhood. My dad would get donuts from Bruno’s every Sunday morning for breakfast before church. They had the best donuts and I’ve never eaten their equal. They were perfect octagons , gooey, and covered in icing.

I wish I could find that recipe.

Drive like a bat out of hell for the sheer pleasure and rush.

Attend an open house or holiday party for a kid in school.

Wear spiked high heels everywhere and all the time.

Look in the mirror and wish I looked just a little bit older.

Holding their hands...

Packing with her for long trips...

Watching her hair blow in the wind on PCH...

Seeing her smile...

Listening to their soft voices...

Once or twice a year I'd get 2-300 bucks set aside and I'd disappear. Gas was under 1.75. Car got 35 mpg. If I started with a full tank, I could drive anywhere in the US, and have a few bucks for snacks.

I would cannonball across the country.

No need for the rush, no need to hurry, but just ripping cigs and driving with music ear bleedingly loud.

A few months ago, we had a meeting for work about 600 miles away. I drove instead of flew. Left at 3 am. Grabbed a full tank, a pack of the cigarettes I used to smoke and took off. The 600 miles there sucked. Like a chore. Got pissed off halfway through the day, declared it a waste of time and headed home. The drive home was awesome. Hit a buccees. Weather was so bad there were no vehicles on the road. I was scootin.

Walked in the house to hug the wife and kid, and she declared "jesus you smell like a college bar" Took a week for my truck to stop smelling like menthols

Agreed, I grew up on a farm. I seriously considered doing it for a living, but couldn’t stand the thought of working all year and how much you made until the end of the year. That however, is my dream job.

How did this get downvoted? Hilarious. I have scraped inspection stickers off before. Not that easy but also not that hard to do it right.

Putting inmates in full restraints for acting up.

Stocking shelves in a grocery store at night. It was peaceful and a good bit of exercise.
