I don’t really have a need for a midsize utility type vehicle, but out of all the cars I’ve rented while traveling, I was most impressed with the Outback. Great layout, drove smooth, comfort, etc.
I’d rate it a million times over a Jeep Cherokee and it’d prob last twice as long minimum.

Fun fact about Suburu, they were first imported into the US by the guy who would later on be behind the Yugo.
ETA: I think the hate is more of on the kind of people who usually drive them.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this but your son is gay his wife is a lesbian and their marriage is a sham.

Never understood this line of thinking...
Obviously, we rarely get snow, but we have a lot ahitty road construction, terrible drivers, and frequent heavy rain.
AWD consistently outperforms FWD and RWD in all those conditions and it is more quick and stable for evaisve actions.
ABS is the best feature ever, but Id put AWD right up there as well.

The Outback is one of those cars that the lesbians got right. I guess this is evidence that not all commie decisions are bad.

Tons of them in Maine. Great for snow and funky conditions.

In Montana even MAGA baws drive Subarus. I drive my 4x4 F250 and Subarus out there and the Subarus are vastly superior for bad weather driving.

I don't hate. I observe. And from what I have observed, there are plenty of people, most of which are either democrat or lesbian, who like them a lot in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Colorado. Subaru knows their target audience.
As far as the vehicle is concerned, everything that I have read states that is is a solid vehicle, and very safe.

Bought my college daughter a used subaru crosstrek. Easiest car to work on. Engineers were brilliant. Unlike the hyundais, subaru help you out. If youve ever worked on one you know what I mean

Fwiw, having worked on both, Subaru uses some of the same components as Toyota, who I believe owns a piece of the company. The sheet metal is really thin ,but the chassis is solid and body construction is clean and tight (mmmm)

Obligatory bumper sticker if you drive one:

Bud I hate to break it to you but more than 50% have tried it out and they might’ve stopped do it, but they still kinda want to.
