Amber Glen just told Illia to hold her beer. USAFS should consider themselves lucky to get a team hold out of this group.

The one bright spot? Isabeau Levito. I can't wait wait to see what she does in French Alps '30.

It struck me that the two most "look at me" skaters from the US had issues.

Illia with his "Quad God" shirt and music that features him playing on it and then Glen with her tranny flag pin and waving the flag at nationals and spouting off about Trump on social media...

Liu has a good chance to win it because she has the right mindset. Just goes out there and skates, no pressure. She was a young phenom who had walked away once already. Does it because she loves it, not because she needs it.

It's very obvious when she skates too. It's like she's skating with pure joy and it's really nice to watch knowing that.

I'm not a fan of her behavior, but she's phenomenally talented and tough to beat when she's on her game. Today she wasn't. I hope that Alyssa Liu can medal for us, otherwise I'd consider this Olympics to be a disappointment from a figure skating perspective. We won the team gold, got screwed in the ice dance, choked in the men's singles, and we're hoping for any medal at all in the ladies' singles. Not a great showing considered we were expected to medal in every category except pairs.

Also pretty wild that an all out fall only gets a 1-2 point deduction but missing a rotation on a jump just nets an all out zero. I get it in terms of the rules but logically it's stupid.

Did she miss a rotation or not do a jump?

I thought she missed a rotation and then when she landed didn't have the momentum to pull off the second jump in the combination and just skipped it and that's what got the zero.

I could be wrong. Probably am.

Not sure where you got this. Yes, her routine was gorgeous and she's adorable. But she's in 8th and Alysa Liu is currently in 3rd. Alysa Lui has her head in a great place and is skating well.

Liu with the gold. She deserves it after that free skate performance.

Her reaction afterwards were great. Completely aligned with her personality. Dropping an f bomb as she skated off.

Damn. This Russian chick's situation is depressing. J. Queer passed along her telling them that she knew the free was her fault and that it was going to be difficult to go back to Moscow. That's fricked.

WTF...Georgian skaters are pretending to be Mortal Combat characters.
