My wife of 30 years was adopted. We recently learned through ancestry her story. It was better than expected. Her bio parents were college students who later married and had another daughter. My wife and her sister are building the most awesome relationship. My wife had only brothers in her family so the relationship is very unique.
I love hearing these stories! Thanks so much for sharing.

Turned out she was carrying our child, my son, who is now 13 years old. It was like a bolt of lightening had struck, I was so shocked. We had tried for five years and had all sorts of treatments, fertilization efforts and it was just rejection after rejection after rejection.
Such a blessing! So happy it worked out for your family.

Wow, what a beautiful video! It's been twelve years already?!? SMH.
I really didn't do much. You and your husband did it all.
Watching your video made me mist up a bit just thinking about how that young child was given the chance of having a happy, healthy family life instead of a life of being shunned (as orphans in Russia usually are) or even worse, living on the streets once he became too old to live in an orphanage, struggling to survive.
He won life's lottery the day he went home with you and your husband.
Spasiba vam!! Na zdorovie!!

And likely dead by 25. Breaks my heart when I think of what he barely escaped. But we are the ones who hit the lottery. I couldn’t imagine life without him with us.

Absolutely incredible, that you shared this amazing video of your journey with us.
My whole week just got better, and I sincerely mean that. That is incredibly personal and reminds me of why I believe we are actually here on this rock.
GOD Bless you and your family. I just cried and I'm not afraid to admit that nobody is cutting onions.

Congratulations, what a wonderful story.
What’s with the down votes? Whenever heartfelt threads are posted giving thanks or asking for prayers, it always seems that there are three miserable people who consistently down vote them.

He hit the lottery being able to move from Russia to North Texas (Frisco).
Seems like child abuse making him wear purple though
