No way I'm voting for Pearl or Finebaum.
Steve Marshall gets my vote all day every day.

If they cancelled him, I’d call Fox Sports. They have tv network, app, web site, and Sirius station.

He wouldn’t miss a beat.

If he were running as a Democrat they would not have removed him.

I'd miss him a couple of hours a week (mostly Saturdays), What bothers me is Disney and they must have someone in mind to replace him.

I doubt that anyone associated with Disney is politically neutral, anywhere other than woke and progressive. Someone who didn't toe their corporate line just wouldn't have survived long enough there to become experienced, nor would their personal ethics have allowed them to work in that warped environment.

When the Seven Dwarfs became un-dwarfs and then were replaced by cartoons and Snow White had no interest in a Prince, and no one complained in house. That level of decision making applied to SEC sports coverage could be disasterous.

Well, there goes that Senate run. He'll crawl back and be Kimmelized

Wouldn't be so certain. May just motivate him even more.

His actions in the near future will be telling, and will be a good insight into his true character.

Cancel your Disney dollars. You sports guys are going to have to make choices that affect your emotions. ESPN, ABC, NFL, and much more.

Agree. Are you prepared to stop watching SEC football? The politics of 90% plus of viewers are counter to everything Disney stands for today.

If you can Bud Light SEC football for one game, Disney would cave in less than a week.

As of October 6, 2025, ESPN has denied reports that Paul Finebaum has been banned or removed from the network. Rumors surfaced after Finebaum stated in an interview that he was considering a run for the U.S. Senate in Alabama.

Key details regarding the situation:
Source of the rumor: Sports personality Clay Travis reported on X (formerly Twitter) that Disney, ESPN's parent company, had removed Finebaum from network appearances following an interview where he discussed his political ambitions.

ESPN's denial: The Vice President of ESPN's Public Relations, Bill Hofheimer, immediately denied the report on social media, calling it "TOTALLY FALSE".

Absence explained: The controversy began after Finebaum was noticeably absent from his regular Sunday SportsCenter segment. However, Finebaum did appear on ESPN's YouTube channel with Matt Barrie on the same day. He also appeared on a non-ESPN program, McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning, on Monday, October 6.
Political motivations: Finebaum told Clay Travis that he is intrigued by the possibility of running for the Alabama Senate seat, which former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville is vacating to run for governor. Finebaum cited a need for public service after the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk as a motivating factor.

ESPN's stance on politics: The situation arose weeks after Disney temporarily removed Jimmy Kimmel from ABC over political commentary. While Finebaum has historically avoided political talk, his recent interview on OutKick has brought scrutiny to ESPN's policy on talent with political aspirations.

The current situation is a conflict of reports, with a sports blogger claiming Finebaum is out and an ESPN official saying he is not. The story is ongoing, and Finebaum has not made an official statement to clarify his status with the network.

Can we all just wait until 2:00, this afternoon, and see if The Finebaum Show airs before we all lose our minds based on a report from Clay Travis and his "sources"?
