Technically, some other “groups” are also counted for purposes of DEI but in 21st century Progspeak, “diverse” has always been mainly just a code word for “black”.

More dangerous than DEI being put into action is DEI "announcing" they are being put into action. Eventually people are going to start espousing the reality of what they see in their communities and quotes like "We have too many black people in positions of power in failing organizations and communities" will be what is commonly said. Then... Obama, DEI, and his rhetoric towards other races will absolutely be what set the black population back 50 years and it is really sad.
