In fairness I get offended when I have to go another half mile to turn around instead of using a perfectly good turnaround point.

Ideological insanity is gripping the left to the point of stupidity.

This was news years ago, cmon people. It had to do with anti joyriding laws and gay men searching for other gay men by circling around the same stretch of road. 10 seconds of research would get you context, but no come to the irrational board to air your irrational anger instead. This is a nonstory.
So the traffic signs are offensive because they interfere with gays trying to pick up street whores?
This context makes their bitching even more ridiculous.

I understand the alleged history argument, but it seems pretty weak…

Welcome to 2024 when this story first came out.

I’d like to take this opportunity to complain about the traffic rules concerning U-turns. As it is, a driver making a right turn on red is supposed to yield to U-turners on their right. It should be the other way around because a right-turner on red driver has to be looking in the complete opposite direction than the u-turner watching for oncoming traffic. The u-turner has everything in front of them AND they are make an unusual move. The rule as it stands now is dangerous.

Agreed. Here in Pensacola, those rules don’t apply. It’s normal for a person to perform a U turn, someone else to turn right, and a third someone else to turn left into the same lane at the same time.

don’t get how that’s offensive. What am I missing?
Nothing.
These people don't need a logical or rational reason to be offended. They don't even really need any reason at all.
They're just offended. Perpetually.
I personally cannot fathom such a miserable way of existence. Life is too short, and they're just out looking for reasons to make it miserable.

Of course they were. Rolls eyes. They couldn’t possibly have been put there to prevent traffic accidents.

No way this is real. Is it real? I honestly can't tell anymore.

What’s the rule if I’m making a right turn, and a driver to my right is making a left turn across my lane and I T-bone him? Seems like it should be his fault since I’m oncoming traffic. I’ve seen some rather weird 5-way intersections where this is remedied by “No Turn On Red”.

One more thing. Aren’t “one-way” streets bi-phobic? Seems like it would be more inclusive for streets to go both ways.
ETA: similar question for “Exit Only”.

So sounds to me irregardless of the reason why they kept circling the same stretch of road, the actual act of constantly circling the road was causing traffic hazards, hence the need for the signs.

The same state that gave illiterate foreigners CDL licenses. It doesn't surprise me.
